Ducks and Avs Show Up

The Ducks and Avalanche played a close one in front of a national audience on Versus last night.  Teemu Selanne scored his first goal since returning from retiring/vacationing/scoring off-ice, and the gloves hit the ice three times en route to a Ducks victory.  Anaheim is once again leading the NHL in fighting majors.

No signal

Unfortunately, “No signal” is all I saw after the first period of the Ducks-Avs game.  I’ll chalk it up to weather, but either way, no clips from that game (yet).  Due to that, I added some AHL scraps from the NHL lockout season of 2004-05, you’ll recognize many an NHL name attached to those.

The only other fight from last night came out of St Louis.  DJ King went with Raitis Ivanans.  The last time these two fought was during the lockout season in the AHL.
