Dropping The Gloves Episode 288: A Tale of Two GMs

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to another edition of Dropping The Gloves with John and Tim. It’s an exciting time around the hockey world with main camp right around the corner, which means the regular season isn’t far away either.

There was plenty to cover around the NHL over the weekend, starting with Pierre Dorian, the General Manager of the Ottawa Senators. He told the media that he believes it’s time to win now. That comment seems a little premature. The Senators are still a young team with plenty of talent; however, maybe Mr Dorian needs to pump the brakes a little there.

In other news, Sidney Crosby will miss the start of the season after needing wrist surgery. Some people don’t see this as a major deal; however, John thinks this might be more significant. The Penguins aren’t as good as they used to be; missing their best player will be tough. What do you think?

They also spoke about Zach Parise signing with the New York Islanders and a little on the Boston Bruins.

Check out all of that and more on episode 288 of the Dropping The Gloves podcast. Be sure to subscribe to the show so that you never miss an episode.
