Devils Beat Out Bolts in Tampa

There was only one game last night, but it was worth the spotlight. The Devils thwarted a comeback attempt by the Lightning, winning 5-4 in the nationally televised game. There were a trio of fights.
Early in the second period Ryan Carter bumped Mathieu Garon. While it looked unintentional, Pavel Kubina didn't take kindly to it and challenged the little Devil (yuck yuck). It was a serious size mismatch, but good on Carter for accepting.
Early in the third David Clarkson took out Steve Downie in front of Martin Brodeur. As Downie was still on the ice, Ryan Malone quickly grabbed onto Clarkson. Clarkson landed a couple of shots while the two grappled along the boards.
The last fight came from another battle in front of the net involving Downie. Alexander Urbom was clearing his crease the old fashioned way: a stick to the back of Downie's jersey over and over. After being knocked down a couple of times, Downie got back up to his skates and grabbed the larger Urbom. A size reversal of the first fight in the game, Urbom landed a couple before they fell to the ice. It was Urbom's first NHL fight.
