Coastal Blows

There were just a couple of fights last night, one one each coast.
Aaron Voros tangled with Sean O’Donnell in New York immediately after Brian Boyle scored against his old team.
Over in Anaheim Shane Hnidy took on, and took some punches from Evgeny Artyukhin. Arty had the shield on, but he wasn’t looking for the fight, nor did he have a real chance to remove it. Still, once the punches started going, it didn’t seem like Hnidy had a chance being the smaller, exposed fighter.
Liquor Laraque
Georges Laraque is getting into trouble over an ad he did for an alcoholic energy drink. Or is he? Greg Wyshynski throws some common sense into the “controversy”:
To be honest, our crap detectors are going off a little here, because the outrage wasn’t sourced to any group and because the timing of it seems … well, convenient, given the ad campaign is two weeks old and could no doubt use a boost.
This is a man who supports any cause you can possibly think of and apologized for appearing in the ad.
“I didn’t know anything about the script when I came to the set. I did what they asked me to do, I did it to raise funds (for charity), I’m sorry if it upset some people,” he said.
The ad itself, which can be seen after the jump, is your standard T&A sales pitch in music video-style. Anyone offended by it better stay far, far away from television in general.
