Bruins Flood Luongo Early, Force Game 7

Bruins Flood Luongo Early, Force Game 7

Mark Recchi is ready to end his career on a high.

The veteran 43-year-old recorded three assists as Boston Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 in game six of the Stanley Cup finals for force a decisive game seven in Vancouver.

Recchi has two Stanley Cup rings to his name after winning the Cup in 1991 with Pittsburgh Penguins and 2006 with Carolina Hurricanes and his focus is on making it a hat-trick.

But the thought of playing in his last game is a thought process that never enters Recchi’s mind as he concentrates on the job in hand.

Recchi said: “I have a job to do out there for the guys and I can't put those thoughts in my head. I'm going to, you know, lay it on the line one more time and see where it takes me after that.”
