Brent Johnson Drops Rick DiPietro

A scrum at the end of Isles–Pens gave us our first goalie fight in over three years.

Matt Cooke and Rick DiPietro collided, seemingly on purpose from both ends, with seconds left, causing Matt Martin and some other Isles to go after him with everyone else quickly piling in. DiPietro exchanged motions with Brent Johnson and the two decided to drop the gloves.

Johnson skated down ice, grabbed ahold of DiPietro and floored him with a left hand. Officials made sure DiPietro took his time getting up and he skated back to the dressing room with an ice pack on his face.
