Bookender

A couple of fights at the beginning, and end, of the Rangers at Penguins game, the one game played last night.

Heavyweights Colton Orr and Georges Laraque both started the game.  They lined up against each other and within seven seconds the gloves were off.

With just two seconds left there was a scrum.  Marc Staal and Adam Hall were the two separated from it and they danced until the linesmen came over to break it up.

Smart starter

Georges Laraque in the box

Pens coach Michel Therrien might want to start Laraque every game.  VS had a graphic up shortly after Big Georges fought Orr that read the Penguins are 6-1 when BGL drops the gloves.  After tonight’s game, make that 7-1.
