Boogaard Downs McGrattan
Derek Boogaard is cementing his spot atop the NHL heavyweights. Last night he dropped Brian McGrattan with a hard right to the side of the head. It was Boogaard’s fourth fight of the season. He’s been voted the winner in all, and two were quite dominating performances. McGrattan has now been in eight fights this season. Not one to fight defensively, four of those fights appear on the top 25 of 2009-10.
Biggest middleweight in the league
Rick Rypien won’t stop taking on giants. He chopped down 6’ 7” Boris Valabik Thursday night to the roars of the Vancouver crowd.
