Alex Burrows’ OT Goal Gives Canucks 2-0 Lead

The Vancouver Canucks are finding ways to win and now the Boston Bruins need to do the same.

Alexandre Burrows’ goal just 11 seconds into overtime gave the Canucks a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup finals and comes hot on the heels of Raffi Torres’ gamewinner 19 seconds from the end in Game 1.

But for the Bruins it now becomes make or break as they return home for Game 3.

Coming back from 3-0 down gives them a mountain to climb but 2-1 puts them right back in the series and coach Claude Julien realises the vital importance of that first game in Boston.

Julien said: “We've been able to bounce back before. We've gone through the experience of being down 2-0 against Montreal, probably even worse because we lost to them at home.

“So it's probably a better team here, absolutely a team that makes it to the final is a better team. It doesn't change the fact that we've been through it.

“We didn't come here just to roll over. We're definitely going to go back home and regroup and bounce back.”
