Paul Bissonnette didn’t take long to make an impact in the UK.

The Phoenix Coyotes tough guy signed a deal with Cardiff Devils in the Elite League and despite not throwing down during his first five games he has made an impact with his gloves on.

The 6'3″ 220lb defenseman has broken out offensively on the Devils’ blueline and in two games over the weekend recorded eight points, highlighted by a goal and four assists in a 9-1 road win over Dundee Stars.

Bissonnette has five goals and eight assists for 13 points on the season to help Cardiff to third place in the standings.

Bissonnette is one of five NHL players who elected to head to Britain during the lockout and has made the biggest impact of that quintet.
