The fight started due to a crushing hit Walker laid out on Kiser, Walker was running everyone in sight. They locked out each other quite well and just danced around. Kiser threw a couple that looked to miss and Walker went down.

Sep 24, 2003 3pd 19:41 Tyler Wright NYR Eric Lindros
Lindros took a bit of a high crosscheck from Wright, and they dropped them fast. Eric looked to throw a couple while getting Wright bent over, but I don't think anything hit and it just got messy fast with the linesmen rushing in right away. Nothing too much going on here in terms of punches. Other Penalties: Lindros received a high sticking; Wright an instigator and misconduct; Greg De Vries a roughing; Luke Richardson a roughing and game misconduct; Jason Labarbera a crease interference.

Sep 25, 2003 2pd 15:22 Dan Fritsche @NYR Greg de Vries
David Ling starts things by freight training Tom Poti behind the net. De Vries comes in and gives Ling a hard cross check to the back. Fritsche, who was behind Poti at the time of the initial hit, roughs it up with De Vries and there they go. Since the fight was behind the net and along the boards, it was hard for them to open things up and let it loose. As they dropped the gloves they tied each other up fairly well. De Vries got Fritsche's jersey tied up in his shoulder pads. Other Penalies: David Ling received a roughing; Fritsche a roughing; De Vries a cross checking.
Voted winner: Greg de Vries (72.7%) - Voted rating: 4.6

Sep 25, 2003 3pd 15:42 Jody Shelley @NYR Dan LaCouture
With the Jackets trailing 5-0 Shelley is out there trying to stir things up. Off the draw he goes with LaCouture. Shelley has a huge size advantage on Danny, but Dan is able to stay in there punch for punch. Shelley gets the better of LaCouture in a quick tussle, but nice showing from each.

Sep 25, 2003 3pd 19:47 Ron Petrovicky @NYR David Ling
Ling gives Petro two good slashes to the arm from behind. Ling and Petro are staring face to face with Simon looking on as well. Petro drops them first and immediately grabs Ling. As Ling drops them, they both grab a hold of each other and neither one has an arm free. They grapple for a bit before Petro tries to go for the takedown, but instead gets himself off-balance and is dropped by Ling as Ling piles on top of him. The linesmen come in and break the two up as Ling is giving Petro some shoves to the ice as Petro is on the bottom.

Sep 28, 2003 1pd 14:06 Jody Shelley PIT Steve McKenna
McKenna very quickly gets Shelley's jersey in a knot and takes advantage of it. Lots of ineffective punches thrown both ways, Shelley gets an arm free, they both lock out and start swinging. There's more wrestling, McKenna gets Shelley's helmet off. More swinging, tough to see what lands, then Shelley wrestles McKenna to the ground, fight over. Massive amounts of blood on the ice and on Shelley's jersey, unclear where it is from though, as McKenna heads straight to the locker room.

Sep 28, 2003 3pd 02:46 Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre PIT Ryan Malone
This one starts at center ice, both with a jersey in the left hand swinging straight at the noggin with the right, trading about six blows each. They then tie each other up, wrestle to the ice, bout over. GP compliments Malone in the penalty box, saying "that was fun."

Sep 28, 2003 3pd 11:38 Jody Shelley PIT Steve McKenna
Sydor takes exception to a slash from Koltsov, gets in his face, everyone pairs off for a little dance, but Shelley and McKenna decide to go at it for real. Wrestling at the start, again McKenna gets Shelley's jersey over his shoulders, then in the clinch gets the helmet off. He throws a few that don't land, Shelley comes back with a solid right to the head, goes in for the takedown, they wrestle each other to the ice, bout over pretty even. McKenna had a huge gash on his elbow in the penalty box, that may be where the blood came from earlier. Other Penalties: Konstantin Koltsov received a slashing.

Oct 03, 2003 2pd 03:21 Jody Shelley STL Reed Low
Low comes up to Shelley from behind, shoves him, the gloves come off. Low lands two quick shots before Shelley gets turned around. Not sucker punches, just quicker on the draw. No faceoff, they just start throwing 'em. Lots of action, brief hug, more punches thrown. Shelley lands a few while Low tries to get rid of his elbow pad. Low's jersey comes off. A couple of big rights from Shelley, Low holds on, refs come in. Both guys go to box exhausted and bloody. Low comes back to bench, still hasn't put jersey back on. Low had big cut under right eye. Couldn't see where Jody was cut, but he was bleeding, too. Overall, good heavyweight fight.

Oct 04, 2003 3pd 13:58 Luke Richardson @BUF Jason Botterill
Radio: Richardson was laying down stick work all night and he went after Botterill. Jason had none of this and dropped the gloves. It was hard to understand the call as it contradicted itself. They said Botterill hit Richardson with a bomb that dropped him, but it must not have been that big as they said Jason only "held his own".

Oct 04, 2003 3pd 19:00 Kent McDonell @BUF Andrew Peters
Radio: Sounded like McDonell instigated this, Peters finished it. Radio side said Peters was beating on Kent so bad that Peters himself told the refs to jump in. Peters just threw him around like a rag doll and he switched up twice.
