Comments: The two collide at center ice and stare one another down. They agree to fight and both dive in throwing with the left. Simon unleashes a vicious left haymaker followed by an uppercut that both appear to mostly miss. They then start exchanging hard lefts which both look to land solidly. Simon gets his arm out of his jersey and starts throwing his sledgehammer lefts while Russell switches hands and answers with rights. As they grab on, Simon gets Russell in a headlock and twists him to the ice like a cowboy wrestling down a steer.

Comments: Probert and Buchberger drop the gloves and square off, but Marchment immediately skates in to take the place of his game but outmatched teammate. Probert throws three rights that hit Buchberger's helmet before the two tie up for a long time. Eventually they start spinning, allowing Probert gets his right free several times to land a few good shots. They both get loose and start throwing toe-to-toe, Probert with the right and Marchment with the left. Both have landed about a half dozen shots before Probert loses his balance and they go down with Marchment on top. Other Penalties: Marchment received an instigator and game misconduct; Probert an unsportsmanlike conduct; Kelly Buchberger an unsportsmanlike conduct.

Comments: Grant Jennings puts a hit on Jim Cummins and they mutually decide to go. They immediately start throwing wild punches, with Cummins ducking under roundhouse rights from Jennings. They trade a few evenly before Cummins again has to duck under the heavy rights. Cummins loses his balance and goes down with Jennings on top. As he skates to the penalty box, we see that Cummins' nose is bloodied.

Comments: Away from the play these two grab on. Baumgartner twirls Cummins into position and starts slugging him with some strong lefts. Cummins starts answering with his right, but Baumgartner backs off, switches to the right and starts landing some good rights. Baumgartner goes back to the left and both men are unleashing vicious haymakers with a few landing. They then tie up by the bench and are broken up.

Comments: In the Devils' zone Russell and Simpson drop the gloves, quickly latching on and firing rights at one another. They throw three each, when Russell decides to switch to the left. Unfortunately for him, this allows Simpson an unhindered right which buckles Russell's knees. He falls over backwards from the shot, ending the quick fight.

Comments: They drop their gloves at center ice and have a brief square off. They come together and get into a spin cycle, each with their right hand free. Probert is able to land a nice right, but falls down in the process, allowing Simpson to land a couple of shots as he regains his composure. They tie up, trying to find new grips because Probert's jersey is coming off. They both get free and fire a right. Probert now has the advantage, slipping in a nice right, and a sneaky uppercut. Probert continues slugging away at Simpson from every angle as Simpson tries to mount a comeback. However, Probert lands another hard right that sends Simpson crumpling to the ice to end a great bout.

Comments: After an icing call, these two renew their longstanding rivalry. Before the camera arrives we hear that Probert lands a few big rights and Domi lands a left. They each toss another soft punch before twirling around in front of the benches for a good 20 seconds. Probert eventually gets loose to throw three good rights that seem to land well. Domi throws a few short lefts before Probert drills him with a nice right forcing him down to his knees. Domi gets up swinging, connecting with a nice left. Probert answers this with a few more good rights of his own. At this point the linesmen break up the long fight, which is already over a minute in length.
