Comments: After the Sens go up 4-0, Ruff sends Peters out, and immediately off of the faceoff he drops then with McGrattan. They square off, then stand at arm's length and whip rights back and forth, but for the most part, they do a good job getting out of the way. Peters then lands a solid shot that puts McGrattan to his knees, but he gets back up and keeps going. They go back and forth some more, with McGrattan possibly getting a good one in himself, and the linesmen decide to stop it. They exchange a word afterwards, seemingly to say "good fight".

Comments: They drop the gloves right off the faceoff after a Havlat goal. They have a nice square off, both fighters faking like they are going to throw the first punch. McGrattan lands a quick right as Peters grabs on. Peters comes back with a right of his own and both fighters exchange multiple right hands. McGrattan lands a right and then comes back with a couple of jersey-jabs as Peters throws some rights. McGrattan continues with the jersey-jabs and lands a right causing Peters to buckle up and land a quick jersey-jab and right combination. They exchange rights once again when Peters loses his balance and falls, dragging McGrattan to the ice with him. McGrattan landed one as they were falling.

Comments: The fight begins in the Buffalo zone. They grab on and Mair throws a jersey-jab and misses with a strong left. Rivet tries to rip off Mair's helmet and loses his balance in the process, sending both guys to the ice with Mair throwing a left as they are going down.

Comments: The two meet up along the boards and drop the gloves. Bradley is swinging away with huge wild right hands while Mair is attempting to gain position. One of Bradley's rights connects and Mair looks to be stunned for a split second. Mair regains his composure and starts throwing lefts while Bradley continues to throw wild rights. Mair switches hands and may have connected with a right while Bradley switches to the left. Bradley gets Mair bent over and throws a wild left to the back of the helmet of Mair and they both tumble to the ground.

Comments: Offsides is called and Jochen Hecht gets bumped by Chris Clark and Hecht gives Witt a slash. A scrum ensues and Witt grabs onto Vanek, bends him over and starts feeding him lefts and the linesmen quickly come over to peel Witt off of Vanek. Other Penalties: Witt received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Vanek a slashing; Chris Clark a roughing. Thomas Vanek did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: Biron comes way out of his net to play the puck near the wall and Ovechkin checks him. Biron comes back and pushes Ovechkin who holds his ground. Gaustad comes in glove-punching Ovechkin along with a couple of other Sabres. The Caps catch up to the play and a larger scrum ensues. Out of the fray Gaustad is tied up with Morrisonn. Gaustad has Morrisonn bent over and is throwing uppercuts, one may have buckled him. Morrisonn recovers and throws a punch and then grabs Gaustad's leg and takes him down. Other Penalties: Martin Biron and Alexander Ovechkin each received a roughing.

Comments: After the faceoff, the two shove each other and drop the gloves. McCormick starts things off with 5-6 overhand rights as Thorburn is struggling to get loose. Thorburn comes back with a right of his own as they press against the boards. They struggle to get loose and never actually do as the linesmen come in and break things up.

Comments: Mair nails Hinote with a big hit along the boards. Hinote goes after him and they drop the gloves. They grab on with Mair throwing three lefts and Hinote coming back with a right. They then begin exchanging punches, Mair with lefts, Hinote with rights. Mair throws a right as Hinote loses his balance and goes down to a knee. Hinote gets back up and they wrestle around for a bit until the linesmen come in. Mair throws a left while the linesmen are in between them. Other Penalties: Mair received a roughing.

Comments: They start talking and decide to drop the gloves right after a faceoff. They square off before Peters grabs on as Gratton misses with a right while Peters throws a right of his own. The two then exchange hard right hands simultaneously. They follow that up by exchanging a series of numerous right hands, each landing at least a few. Gratton switches hands and throws a jersey-jab that slows the pace. They start going back and forth with rights once again, Peters getting the better of the exchange. Gratton then comes back with a few rights of his own. Peters throws a couple of rights as Gratton switches to the left and throws about four as Peters tries to return fire. Peters throws a right before they get in tight and start grappling. Gratton throws an overhand right to the back of Peters' head before they lose their balance and fall to the ice.

Comments: Mair takes at run at Jeff Carter, but only partially connects with an open ice check. Brashear comes over and gives Mair a shot in retaliation. Peters skates over in Mair's defense as he and Brashear push and shove before Gratton challenges Mair and they drop the gloves. They tie up as both players struggle to get loose. Gratton takes Mair's helmet off and throws a few short rights. Mair pushes Gratton up against the boards as Gratton throws a few rabbit punches to the side of Mair's head. Mair throws a left as Gratton tries to throw a few locked-out rights. They spin around before Gratton gets his left hand loose and throws a couple of punches with Mair throwing a right. They get in tight and wrestle around until Gratton gets free and throws a couple of rights as Mair loses his balance and pulls Gratton down with him.

Marshall then connects with a big left that sends Peters' helmet flying. Marshall misses with another left and is able to duck under a Peters right before Peters loses his balance and falls to the ice. Marshall lands a body shot while they are going down.

Comments: They get the sticks up and start pushing and shoving in front of the benches as they drop the gloves. Hale connects with three straight rights as Mair is holding on to the side board. Mair lets go and the two skate out to center ice where Hale lands two more rights as Mair throws a left. Mair lands two overhand rights to the back of Hale's helmet before ripping it off as Hale misses with a right. Mair misses with a left and hangs on to Hale in order to stay on his feet. Mair throws four more lefts to the back of Hale's head as Hale throws two rights, missing with one and landing one to the side of Mair's head. Mair throws 5-6 lefts to the back of Hale's head while Hale attempts a few locked-out rights. Mair throws a couple of body shots before the two hold on and wait for the linesmen to come in.

Comments: Right off of the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off. Parros grabs on and tries to keep his balance as Peters throws a right with Parros returning fire with one of his own. They exchange right hands once again before Peters throws another right. Parros then loses his balance and falls to the ice with Peters on top. Peters lands a right while they are falling.

Comments: McKee sends Ales Hemsky spinning to the ice with an open ice hit. Smith skates up ice and goes right after McKee wrestling him to his knees and connecting with a right while McKee is down. Dmitri Kalinin then skates in and grabs Smith as everyone piles in. Other Penalties: Smith received an instigator and misconduct; Dmitri Kalinin a game misconduct.

They spin around as Roy loses his balance and falls to the ice. The linesmen allow them to return to their feet but Roy isn't able to get up from his knees. Ference gets an arm free and throws two rights as the linesmen jump in.

Comments: Behind the play the two drop the gloves and immediately tie up at the blueline. Gaustad is able to get his left hand up in Strudwick's face as he throws two overhand rights to the back of Strudwick's helmet. Strudwick loses his balance and goes down to a knee, but quickly rises to his feet. Gaustad lands two more rights to the back of Strudwick's head as he takes Strudwick's jersey and tries to pull it over his head. They wrestle around in tight for a bit before Strudwick lands two rights to the side of Gaustad's helmet. Gaustad attempts a locked-out right as Strudwick connects with 5-6 more rights to the back of Gaustad's helmet. Strudwick gets turned around as Gaustad throws three rights to the back of Strudwick's head before they fall to the ice.

Comments: Right off the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off, each signaling the other to come closer. They size each other up and try multiple times to grab on as Peters signals for the linesmen to stay away. They finally grab ahold of each other as Boulton throws two rights to the back of Peters' helmet. Peter throws an overhand right and a short jersey-jab as Boulton lands a body shot. Peters then throws two rights as Boulton tries to shake off his elbow pad. They spin around as Peter throws a right that knocks both players off-balance and to the ice. Boulton gets in a right while they are down.

Comments: The puck is cleared from Buffalo's defensive end and these two drop the gloves and square off. They come together, each grabbing the other's jersey with the left. McGrattan starts off with about 4-5 jersey-jabs, a couple of them landing. The two then exchange a couple of rights. McGrattan mixes in a left hand while Peters sticks with the right. They start exchanging rights, each throwing in a left jersey-jab or two for good measure and both are landing some shots. Peters then lands a big right. He throws another that comes up short and McGrattan tosses his own right that doesn't make it while Peters misses with another right. McGrattan is still holding onto Peters with his left, but is now hunched over and he covers his face with his right hand. Peters stops throwing and signals for the linesmen to come in.

Comments: Montador takes Pyatt into the boards as Pyatt gives him a shot in retaliation. They push and shove before deciding to drop the gloves. Montador throws three rights to the side of Pyatt's helmet before Pyatt returns fire with two rights, connecting with one. The two go toe-to-toe with punches for a short moment: Pyatt with rights, Montador switching hands and going with the left. Montador bends over as Pyatt throws three more rights and an uppercut before the linesmen quickly jump in. Montador skates back to the dressing room with blood dripping from his nose. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.

Boynton throws a right and Gaustad slips under Boynton's arm and throws a right to the back of his head just before the linesmen come in.

Comments: Behind the play the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They tie up and Gaustad flings his right arm behind Belak, throwing a right to the back of his head. Belak then throws four punches to the head and body of Gaustad. Belak throws another right while Gaustad charges forward and throws a couple of straight body shots. Belak lands two rights and two uppercuts with Gaustad going down to a knee during the flurry. Gaustad digs his head into Belak's chest and tries to wrestle him to the ice but Belak is able to get back on his feet and land one more uppercut before letting go of Gaustad just as the linesmen come in.

McGrattan then throws two jersey-jabs and a right while Peters tries to lean away from the punches. Peters connects with two rights to the side of McGrattan's head before McGrattan throws a jersey-jab-right combination. They exchange jersey jabs, allowing McGrattan to throw a right that misses. They then throw two rights each, one of McGrattan's knocking Peters' helmet off. McGrattan throws another jersey-jab-right combination and the two go back and forth with a few long rights. They then tie each other up and stand there until the linesmen come in.

Comments: Andrew Peters takes a run at Ben Ondrus along the benches with Ondrus slashing Peters in the back of the leg as he skates away. Peters turns around and puts a glove in Ondrus' face while a linesman tries to separate the two. Luke Richardson comes over and grabs Peters, forcing everyone to join in. Peters throws a gloved punch at Ondrus while Domi skates over and pushes McKee to the ice. McKee returns to his feet and takes an uppercut from Domi before he drops his own gloves. Domi takes McKee to the ice and Peters tries to get over to Domi while being restrained by the linesmen, but is eventually led to the penalty box. Other Penalties: Domi received a game misconduct; Andrew Peters a double roughing; Ben Ondrus a slashing. Jay McKee did not receive a fighting major.
