May slips, but gets back up and immediately sneaks in a hard left. They are now both trying to find openings, and each throws a few including some body shots. May starts to land better and gets McRae totally crossed up, who is now just trying to shield himself. Now on the defensive, McRae gets tagged with two hard lefts which send him down to the ice.

Off the faceoff they are nose to nose. Both have their sticks between the other's legs. They both toss their gloves in the air and it's go time. Twist misses a right then Ray misses two rights. Twist starts a barrage of rights landing two of them squarely. Twist starts throwing right hand bombs landing two more very square while Ray tries three rights. They turn back around and Twist throws two wild right and lands both. The second one knocks off Ray's helmet. Rayzor tried to counter with a right and it grazed. They spin around while Twist is landing wild rights. During the spin Twist lands a hard right. Twist is still throwing wild right hands and just overwhelms Ray to the ice while still swinging with rights. Ray skates away with a discolored face. He's seen in the box with ice over his eye and him wincing his eye in pain. Later it's discovered that Ray has a broken orbital bone.

Grant Jennings puts a hit on Jim Cummins and they mutually decide to go. They immediately start throwing wild punches, with Cummins ducking under roundhouse rights from Jennings. They trade a few evenly before Cummins again has to duck under the heavy rights. Cummins loses his balance and goes down with Jennings on top. As he skates to the penalty box, we see that Cummins' nose is bloodied.

Domi takes a run at Houda, but Houda avoids most of the check. They turn around and Domi gives him a shove. They stare for a moment and Houda tries to quickly drop his gloves and get the jump but he slips as he moves in. Domi misses a huge left and is now on top of Houda. Domi pops him with a couple of lefts while he's down. Brad May comes flying in and pushes Domi off of Houda and tries to throw something, but it becomes a big pile-up fast and the linesmen break it up. In front of the Edmonton bench, these two have a nice little square off before May dives in with a right hand that misses. May throws one or two more rights before switching hands and firing some good lefts that seem to overwhelm Richardson for a moment. For a moment, Richardson is able to free his left and they go toe-to-toe for three punches. May is landing better and Richardson is forced down to a knee, signaling to the refs that they should step in.

At this point it's inevitable that they will fight, and they both drop the gloves and start throwing wild overhand rights. Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off at the blueline. They simultaneously dive in with right hands: May's punch connects and stuns Carkner. May continues to pump away with rights until Carkner recovers and responds with a flurry of rights himself. May switches to the left and they go toe-to-toe with punches until they lose their balance and fall to the ice. May gets in two rights and a short left while they are on the ground and the linesmen are quick to jump on top of them. Carkner stands up and then tries to get at May, but is pulled away by one of the linesmen. Carkner whips around and starts to skate away, but his legs nearly give out. May is congratulated by his fellow Sabres on the ice while Carkner goes back to the dressing room for repairs on a cut over his left eye.

Vial trips a Sabre player from behind and eventually Ray challenges him. As the camera arrives, Vial is on his knees but gets up and starts going toe-to-toe with Ray. They are both smoking each other with several good rights. Ray makes an attempt at losing his jersey, which he is unable to do allowing Vial to land a few overhand rights. After a few more from each, Ray does manage to strip from the waste up. Ray throws a few ineffectual rights, being mostly held off from Vial. As the linesmen come in, Vial tries to throw a few weak rights but nothing connects.

Kyte gets the upperhand, throwing a series of wild rights that are mostly blocked by Ray's left arm as he is bent over. Ray then rights himself and unloads a vicious right that lands flush, sending Kyte to the ice. Ray stands over Kyte, motioning for him to "stay down." Meanwhile, Kyte does remain on the ice, clearly dazed from the impact.

More cocks his fist and holds up a second for Barnaby to drop his stick and gloves. When it becomes apparent that Barnaby won't do it, More throws five punches which hit Barnaby's back and shoulder as he is turning away to avoid the punches. After the referees break up the fight, More is irate and throws his helmet at Barnaby. Matt Barnaby did not receive a fighting major.

Mark Astley comes together with Nolan but a linesman intercedes. A small scrum develops around them, with Barnaby pushing Nolan away. Again a linesman is in between them, but they mutually decide to drop the gloves and are allowed to fight. They grab on and are in very tight, but still manage to throw several hard rights each that land to the side of the helmet. The two manage to separate and both start throwing wild rights, several of which look to land solidly. They again grab on and Barnaby throws an uppercut. Nolan responds with several hard over-the-top rights than hit the back of Matthew's head. Nolan at this point has come completely out of his jersey so Barnaby grabs on, and they each throw a few more hard shots to the side of one another's heads before succumbing to exhaustion. Other Penalties: Brad May received a slashing.

After spinning around they start firing straight rights which are connecting flush to one another's faces. Boughner starts ducking away from Stojanov's rights, only to unleash an occassional haymaker, several of which land very hard. Eventually they tire and grab on to one another. Right off of the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off for a short moment before grabbing ahold of each other. They immediately start going toe-to-toe with punches, each going with rights and each landing their fair share of shots. Ray connects with one last right when they get up near the boards that sends Vial to the ice. The linesmen quickly step in and move Ray away from Vial. Vial stands back up with blood all over the left side of his face and Ray goes back into the dressing room, high-fiving some teammates and an arena worker on his way out.
