Comments: Off the faceoff they are nose to nose. Both have their sticks between the other's legs. They both toss their gloves in the air and it's go time. Twist misses a right then Ray misses two rights. Twist starts a barrage of rights landing two of them squarely. Twist starts throwing right hand bombs landing two more very square while Ray tries three rights. They turn back around and Twist throws two wild right and lands both. The second one knocks off Ray's helmet. Rayzor tried to counter with a right and it grazed. They spin around while Twist is landing wild rights. During the spin Twist lands a hard right. Twist is still throwing wild right hands and just overwhelms Ray to the ice while still swinging with rights. Ray skates away with a discolored face. He's seen in the box with ice over his eye and him wincing his eye in pain. Later it's discovered that Ray has a broken orbital bone.

Well, I am a Buffalo fan and a Rob Ray fan, but that is honestly one of Rays worst fights. He got destroyed by the returning Tony Twist. Winner = Tony Twist

Ray tried, but Twist was a monster. A real beat-down.

The Twister was the most intimidating fighter at the time.

Twist was at or near his prime at the time of this fight. If I remeber correctly, this pretty much ended Ray's career as fighter. Poor guy. His face looks like it got hit with a brick at the end of the video.

Hey Werewolf... this fight occurred nearly two years before McGwire even came to St. Louis. Get your facts straight before posting such nonsense.

I'll never forget that particular year of fights from Twist! There were heavyweights from other teams that were scared to death of Twist, especially after what he did to Ray.

Twist and Ray line up for a faceoff. Everyone knows they're gonna go. Once the puck drops they look at each other eye to eye, then off come the gloves. It's pretty even at first, both throw some shots, Ray's missing the mark, and Twist throws some glancing shots. Then out of no where, BAM, Twist drills Ray on the side of the head then he delivers another crushing blow directly in Ray's right eye, crushing his orbital bone. Twist continues the onslaught by throwing a barrage of right hands, eventually dropping Ray to his knees, then a final giant punch that puts Ray down. Probably the most one-sided fight I've ever seen, atleast at the NHL level.
