Fair square off at center ice. Baumgartner lunges in and tries a left, but it comes up short. Odgers answers with five rights, the fourth one lands right on the button, stunning Baumer for a second. They wrestle a bit and Baumgartner regains his composure and they go toe to toe. Baumer with the left and Odgers with the right. Not a lot of punches landing out of the five or six thrown by each. They get in-close and start wrestling. Baumer finally wrestles Odgers to the ice.

They drop the gloves at the blue line. McLaren removes his helmet during the square off. McLaren makes the first move and grabs on first. He throws two lefts. The first is a solid shot, the second one comes up short as Grier tries to answer with a left that doesn't land. McLaren throws another left that lands well. Grier tries to answer with a left, but it hits McLaren's left shoulder. McLaren starts pushing Grier towards the B's bench and tries another left that grazes Grier's helmet. They tie up in front of the B's bench and the linesmen come in and stop the fight. Grier has blood coming from multiple cuts.

Baron shoves Mallette into the boards after the whistle blows and the two end up dropping the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and exchange simultaneous right hands: Baron's shot just misses the mark, but Mallette's punch connects flush and sends Baron straight to the ice. Mallette gets in another right while Baron is down, but the linesmen are right there to break things up. Baron is slow to get up and is eventually escorted to the locker room with the help of his teammates. He is also sporting a bloody face due to a cut above his left eye. Other Penalties: Mallette received a misconduct.

There's a scrum near the penalty boxes and everyone's trying to get some words in. Murray grabs Odger's stick and throws it, Tucker is off to the side with McCleary trying to goad him into a fight. Thornton and Odgers finally break away and drop the gloves and grab onto each other. They each get position and then get the rights going. Piston-like action. Nine or ten from each, and then Thornton follows up with a couple of uppercuts. Thornton has a reach advantage and it appeared as though his punches are landed better. They start to wrestle near the boards and Thornton takes Odgers down. Odgers skates away bleeding around his left eye.

Malkoc puts a nice slash on Allison and Allison responds with his gloves dropped. They grapple and Malkoc wrestles Allison down and they get back up quickly. Malkoc lands 5-6 lefts as they spin around, two landing well. They grapple around some more and Allison gets Malkoc's helmet off and lands 4-5 straight right, one being a really nice shot. Malkoc responds with two lefts. Malkoc starts swinging wild lefts, out of about four, maybe one lands. However Malkoc whipped Allison down to a knee, but Allison bounces back up and lands a glancing blow. Allison looks like he calls it a night and falls underneath Malkoc who then falls on top of him. The linesmen come in and pull them off each other.
