Oct 25, 2001 1pd 02:14 Tie Domi @BOS Andrei Nazarov
This was Domi's first game back from a suspension. Nazarov taps Domi's stick and the two drop the gloves. Domi punched quickly and either the punch or a push knocked Naz down. Nazarov got up just as quickly, but Domi already had a big advantage lifting Nazarov's jersey and blocking his vision. The rest was some hugging until the linesmen came in.

The two are waiting for the puck to be dropped and as soon as the puck drops, so do the gloves - but only of McKenzie. Domi immediately goes to the ice and turtles! McKenzie hits Domi 3 or 4 times while Domi is turtling on the ice. McKenzie is given 27 PIMs. Domi gets up and has some words for the Devils bench. Other Penalties: McKenzie received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Tie Domi did not receive a fighting major.

Nov 09, 2001 1pd 10:24 Tie Domi @NJD Randy McKay
They start scrapping behind the net. McKay gets off the first few shots, about 4 rights that land, but nothing major. Domi then comes back with the lefts, and he lands some good hard punches, maybe 5 or so. One punch/push (it wasn't a square-on punch) puts McKay on the seat of his pants on the ice, and Domi didn't stop punching right away. He kept going after he had knocked McKay down. Perhaps he thought this would make up for turtling against McKenzie, but it didn't. Other Penalties: Domi received an interference.

Scrum in front of the Toronto net and after a while Roberts and McKay work themselves free. Roberts throws the first 5 or 6 punches and lands 3 to McKay's helmet. McKay throws a few that miss, then Roberts lands a good left. Some wrestling and they go down. Other Penalties: Scott Gomez and Tomas Kaberle received roughings.

Nov 10, 2001 3pd 16:09 Wade Belak NJD Patrik Elias
Belak slashes Elias and they drop the gloves and start to go. Both throwing good. Elias handling himself well and then Arnott comes flying in and jumps on Belak. Elias is ripped out and Belak starts drilling Arnott who is on the ice. Camera switches to Corson and White. Comes back after the scrum is over. Belak has a bloody lip and Arnott a bloody nose. Belak beats Arnott and has a draw with Elias? It's two, two, two recaps in one (it's from a commercial...ah...forget it). Fun. Other Penalties: Elias received a misconduct; Arnott a game misconduct; Belak a high sticking and game misconduct.

Nov 10, 2001 3pd 16:09 Shayne Corson NJD Colin White
Not a whole lot here. Corson lands maybe 2 or 3 weak punches to White's helmet. Lasted about 2 min but was only a partial fight. Enough for the refs to declare it a second fight after the first one started and give these two the gate. Not that it mattered - there was less then 5 left in the game - but, it did go into OT. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts.

Nov 19, 2001 2pd 13:48 Darcy Tucker FLA Brad Ference
Earlier on, Tucker hits Bure, knocks some of his teeth out and gives Bure an early exit to the game. Some grappling the Tucker missed with two big right hooks. Ference then lands a good left on Tucker, and then cracks him with another sending him down. After Ference sent Tucker to the ice during the fight in the second, Ference mocked Tucker by pretending to collapse in the penalty box. Side note: later in the game Jason Wiemer butt-ended Tucker and knocked him out of the game. Wiemer was called on an elbowing major and game misconduct.

Nov 19, 2001 3pd 06:23 Tie Domi FLA Paul Laus
As the play went up ice, Laus came to Domi and started pushing him. as they reached the center ice logo the two dropped the gloves. Laus threw the first 2, missing on both. Domi came back and threw 3 lefts. Both tried to get in position and Domi yanked the jersey over Laus' head. Domi switched hands and threw 3 rights and as he was positioning to throw more on a blind Laus, the linesman decided to step in. As the linesman were seperating the two, Laus still blinded with the jersey over his head, took a swing and appeared to hit the linesman. It didnt appear that Domi hit him with anything big, but Laus had a big red mark in his lower cheek/jaw area. Other Penalties: Laus received a misconduct.

Nov 19, 2001 3pd 11:38 Tie Domi FLA Peter Worrell
As the puck drops on a faceoff the two decide to drop em and go. Domi gets off the first 4, missing completely as Worrell puts his hands up in defense. The attack seemed to catch Worrell off guard (possible that Worrell didn't realize Domi was a lefty). The two then spin around a few times as Worrell tries to recover his balance. Worrell throws a wild right, grazing the temple of Domi. They strugglesome more until Worrell gets his right free and throws 5 fast shots, landing on 3 or 4 (one of them appeared to hit Domi's helmet - Worrell's hand injury). The red mark was visible on Domis cheek. Worrell then threw 2 more, landing on one. (Worrell has a big smile on his face and is sticking his tongue out at Domi). The two then migrated across the ice clenched to each other. Domi then gets free and seems to gain the advantage, landing 2 of his own. Big Worrell then has enough and grabs Domi with his usual bear hug as they reach the boards. Worrell then rips Domis helmet off and gives him the "Worrell noogie" as the linesman quickly come to seperate the tiring fighters. At first, Worrell seemed to have trouble with the shorter Domi, but recovered well.

Dec 18, 2001 2pd 09:59 Wade Belak LOS Kelly Buchberger
Good square off as both guys circle each other for about 7 seconds with the gloves off. Buchberger starts with a left jab which misses - bit of dancing continues but not for long as Belak goes in. Belak unleashes four rights with 1 or 2 landing real good...at least one landed good. Buchberger retaliates with two rights with one landing real good but by this point Belak has Buchberger's jersey pulled up. Belak tosses four more rights. Then they come together for a close hug where the shots are either noogies or very short punches to the back of the head.

Dec 26, 2001 1pd 10:58 Wade Belak @CAR Darren Langdon
Off the faceoff, the two fighters are having words. They skate away from each other, Langdon gets the puck and shoots it into the Leafs zone. Belak finishes his check on Langdon, and they both hold on to each other. Off come the gloves, and Belak gets the early jump. He gets off about 4-6 right hand shots, with 2 or 3 landing solidly. Langdon tries to come back, as he throws 3 or 4 rights. Most either came up empty or didn't land flush. Belak's helmet then gets caught in such a manner that it's actually blocking his face from further Langdon punches. The linesmen step in at this point.

Dec 29, 2001 2pd 11:38 Tie Domi @FLA Jason Wiemer
With the Leafs down 3-1, and after Weimer's elbow on Tucker earlier, Domi drops the gloves with Weimer. Domi got the left hand pumping away, as he threw about 5 to start off with. All of them landed pretty good, one hit Weimer right on the nose. Weimer was bloodied, but kept going. Jason tried to come back with rights, as he and Domi trade shots after Domi's first flurry of lefts. Weimer with about 4, Domi around the same. They stop throwing and start hugging when the linesmen step in to break this one up.

Jan 08, 2002 2pd 19:56 Darcy Tucker NAS Scott Hartnell
Hartnell gives Tucker a crosscheck in the back along the boards and Tucker ain't having that tonight. Darcy spins Hartnell around and is given a glove to the face. Now the gloves come off. Hartnell get things going with a short left that misses. Tucker follows with a right that grazes Hartnell's jaw. Oh yeah, Hartnell has a visor on. Tucker bends Scott over by landing a solid right to his ear. It's hard to tell if another right landed due to the camera angle. Another right from Darcy connects to the helmet. The next one misses. Hartnell's hand is wrapped up inside his own jersey and he launches a right that can't get going and tumbles to the ice. Tucker is pulled down as well. The linesmen are in and it is over.

Seconds left in the game. Good square off. Richardson comes in first. They stay at arms length for a few seconds and then start trading them. Jan 22, 2002 1pd 00:52 Shayne Corson @CAL Clarke Wilm
Corson gets in several rights with Wilm replying with the odd punch. Corson eventually gets the right arm out of the sleeve - earlier he was punching with it sort of half-way up the sleeve. Wilm did a good job to tie him up. Not sure how, usually that's a lot tougher with the arm out of the sleeve, but Corson switched to the left and nailed him a few times - all the while Wilm gets the odd shot in.

Jan 22, 2002 3pd 14:28 Tie Domi @CAL Bob Boughner
This was a result of a big scrum at center ice. Domi went after Gauthier for his 1st period hit on Reichel, and in steps Berube. Boughner comes over and shakes the gloves, while Berube is still shoving Domi. Domi gets away from Berube and gets at Boughner. Brief scrap here, as maybe both guys get off at the most 3 punches each before the linesmen get in.

These two get roughings, right out of the box they hook up again. Domi started with his left. For the most part neither guy really landed anything solid. Marchment lost his balance early, but Domi couldn't capitalize. Most of the punches missed, were muffled via sweater handcuffing, or hit the helmet. Domi lost his helmet, but Marchment was unable to capitalize either. In the end they both went down, Domi on top of Marchment. Other Penalties: Marchment received an instigator and misconduct.

Feb 07, 2002 2pd 11:41 Tie Domi @NYI Eric Cairns
Behind the Isles' net, these two are pinned along the boards and start some shoving. They move away from the boards, the gloves shed and Domi throws three lefts. Domi got his gloves off quicker and has the momentum. The first knocks off Cairns' helmet, the next two miss, both going over Cairns' head. Cairns is ducking and just falls. Cairns pulls Domi down a bit with him and they get back up together. Domi paws at him with the left, and then throws a left punch that goes into the back of Cairns' neck as he's ducking again. Cairns now spins up and throws a monster left that bounces off of Tie's helmet (since Tie's head is just as hard, no need to remove that helmet). Tie counters with a left that runs out of room by Cairns shoulder. Reach advantage in play here now. Another monster left by Cairns! This time Domi's attempting to pull up Cairns' jersey as he gets caught. Pop goes that helmet! (so much for the previous theory). With both guys swinging hard, balancing in between punches is necessary here. Big right by Cairns hits Domi's back/shoulder. Another right hits Domi in the same area. Domi counters with his own huge left! Over-the-top left by Cairns gets Domi again! A left uppercut by Cairns misses. Big-time left by Domi now, and because of angle, it's hard to tell if it hits or not since Cairns was moving in the same direction as the punch to begin with. Another big left by Domi! No doubt that one landed. Each wind up for another haymaker and Cairns gets his right in before Domi gets his left, and Domi goes down to a knee! Domi's popping up quickly, and Cairns misses with a left. Each go for a simultaneous punch again, and this time Domi gets his in first. Huge right there. Cairns attempts a right that goes over Domi's head, and now Domi swings a right over Cairns' head. Cairns swings a left, and it doesn't look like it lands from the camera angle. Domi swings a right that can't quite reach Cairns' as Cairns has the long arm stretched out again. Domi pulls Cairns down with the left and throws a right that bops Cairns on the top of the head. A right by Cairns, but angle makes it too hard to judge. Cairns switches hands for the umpteenth time and Domi throws a right that sails over a ducking Cairns. Cairns attempts to straighten up and Domi's got him a little tangled in his own jersey. Domi leans on Cairns and gets the takedown. Goooood fight.

Mar 10, 2002 2pd 03:16 Wade Belak @PHI Todd Fedoruk
It started with the two players jousting at the Flyers' blueline, then they finally come together and shed the gloves. The Fridge fires the first 2 shots, one grazing Wade. Wade then returns the favor with 3 of his own. Fedoruk seems to be throwing jabs with the hand holding Wade's jersey. Then they dance a little and Belak gets 2 off and the Fridge 1, nothing damaging. Then Belak gets a couple more off, landing one which seems to wake Fedoruk up. Todd then goes on the warpath, throwing 2 to the body and a wild uppercut that sends Belak's helmet flying off. Todd throws another haymaker that misses and Belak tries a couple of his own, grazing Todd as Fedoruk has his head turned away. The Fridge keeps throwing those jab punches with the jersey hand, landing one square. Fedoruk then gets in 2 more as it looks as if Belak's had enough. As the refs step in, Todd tries one more.
