Comments: Nazarov puts a big hit on Pratt after a whistle. Dingman lines up next to Nazarov, they both bump into each other and the gloves come off. Dingman immediately starts hugging and Nazarov throws about 5-6 lefts to the back of his helmet. Dingman then tries to throw a soft punch. Nazarov throws another left, which looked like it could've done damage if it landend flush. Then Dingman goes into the hug as Nazarov gets the takedown.

Comments: The Devs were on the penalty kill and Hale and Clymer got mixed up. They both kinda look at one another and toss off the gloves. Hale gets in postion and tries a short right, which fails. Clymer jabs a short left and Hale tries a right, which seemed to graze Clymer. THe rest of the fight they were both just holding on and they were fatigued.

Comments: After the puck is dropped, they drop the gloves. They are immediately in close, wrestling, grappling. Roy appears to land one to the back of Boulerice, and then one around the back of the neck. They go to the ice while grappling. Short fight.

Comments: Dingman and Webb look to go, but Webb doesn't drop the gloves and as Dingman gets ready to pound him, McKenna jumps in and him and Dingman tackle each other. Many penalties then handed out for little reason. Other Penalties: Dingman an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; McKenna a game misconduct. Steve Webb did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: Malone finishes his check and Kubina shoves him in the back of the head. They jaw, then Malone drops the gloves and smacks Kubina with a right to the jaw, then misses a right, then pops Kubina with another short right. Kubina lands a nice blind right to Malone's eye. Malone ducks from the punch's impact and Kubina misses a right. Kubina throws a stomach punch, then misses a right. Malone's covering up and Kubina tries two body shots, then grabs on and pushes him to the ice.

Comments: There's a scrum, and they break off from the pack and have a spirited little bout. Berry lands some early, but Sarich seems to outlast him. Good right by Sarich cuts Berry. Berry is gassed from the end and comes out of his jersey before they fall. Other Penalties: Olaf Kolzig received a roughing; John Grahame a leaving the crease; Alexander Svitov a slashing.

Comments: The moment Scott meets up with Dingman along the boards the eject button is pushed. Scott starts throwing first with the left, maybe landing one. Dingman responds with a few rights. Scott then continues with the lefts and Dingman loses his balance.

Comments: With the Blues not showing much fire early, Low looks to light a fire under the Blues. It starts in front of the Lightning bench. It starts as a hugfest. They end up shuffling all the way over to the Blues bench. Then Roy throws a couple of lefts that miss. Finally Low gets his right free and unleashes five rights on Roy, doing moderate damage. Roy tries a couple of more lefts that do nothing. Low then pushes Roy up against the bench and it's over.

Comments: Mayers high sticks a Lightning player and then Danton decides he wants to go after anyone and everyone on the ice. Every Lightning player on the ice then converges on Danton and a scrum begins. Out of the whole pile emerges Boyle dragging Danton out of the pile. It turns into a mugging as all Boyle is doing is throwing some light punches doing little damage. Other Penalties: Andre Roy received a roughing; Jamal Mayers a high sticking.

Comments: Right after Tkachuk scores to tie the game at 2 these two converge and drop the gloves. It's over quickly as Mellanby is firing punches every which way, while Cullimore may have thrown just a couple. Mellanby then tosses Cullimore hard to the ice with both of them still throwing. Other Penalties: Cullimore received a game misconduct.

Comments: Both fighters hugging in tight. Clymer throws about five noogies to the top of Petrovicky's helmet. Petro finally tires of it and bodyslams Clymer to the ice. Petro throws a punch on the way down that seems to have landed, and another after they hit the ice.

Comments: Off the faceoff, Roy and Lessard drop the gloves. A flurry of lefts from Lessard at the beginning, looks like most are hitting helmet. Roy is throwing a couple of rights that appear to be missing, but possibly one landing. They then get in tight and try a couple of small punches and end up hanging over the Tampa Bay bench. Looked like Lessard had a little blood on the side of his head, near the helmet. Didn't look like anything major connected really.

Comments: They're in the corner talking and talking and talking... They drop the gloves and Dingman's jersey comes off almost immediately. It's like it pushed the eject button. Neil gets off one poor right, and the rest is Dingman with some helmet-rights, a body shot, and then a few wild punches. He might have landed one or two, but definitely nothing damaging. As he's throwing, Dingman falls. Other Penalties: Neil received a boarding; Dingman a game misconduct.

Comments: Lecavalier elbows Chara behind the net and Chara runs after Lecavalier looking for a fight. He drops his gloves, Lecavalier seemed sort of surprised. Chara threw a couple of good rights that connected, a pretty big one at the end. Lecavalier threw one or two that didn't seem to do much. Chara seemed to be taking it easy on Lecavailer for the most part. Other Penalties: Lecavalier received a high sticking.

Comments: Clymer and Kalinin start mixing it up, and Clymer drops the gloves and starts throwing rights. This catches Kalinin off guard, who drops them late. Clymer lands two rights, Kalinin misses two, then catches Clymer with a right and drops him, tko. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.

Comments: LaCouture lands a big check on Darren Rumble who had been mixing it up with Messier some along the boards. Immediately Sarich skates over and knocks LaCouture down, then stands over him with the challenge. As soon as LaCouture gets up, they both shed the gloves. LaCouture lands a good left to start. They then begin to trade pretty well with both landing, though nothing looked real hard. Towards the end LaCouture starts to tire, his first game off the IR from a separated shoulder, and Sarich starts to take over. Sarich lands a nice uppercut as LaCouture is burying his head trying to get in-close. They get in tight and the linesmen jump in. In the box, LaCouture is sporting a nice welt above his right eye while Sarich goes to the lockerroom for repairs to a cut. Other Penalties: Sarich received a roughing.

Comments: Right off the faceoff they drop the gloves. They're in-tight to start and Godard feeds Dingman about 5-6 rights. Dingman goes to throw a couple of lefts, but gets bent over and turned. He goes to straighten up and Godard throws another right, Dingman goes down. Dingman's got a little blood in the penalty box.

Comments: Langdon was the one who wanted to go with Roy, but Rivet beat him to it. These two drop them in the corner and hold on to each other. Rivet seemed to do the majority of the holding and no punches really landed. As Roy was being escorted to the penalty box, the Langdon and Roy had words and Roy proceeded to throw an elbow pad at Langdon. Langdon comes at him and throws two punches. His first punch landed, and Roy fell/tripped while Langdon was throwing another, and it came short. Roy landed one as well. Other Penalties: Roy received a holding, unsportsmanlike conduct and misconduct; Darren Langdon a roughing and misconduct.

Comments: Roy drops the gloves first, and throws some wild, not really connecting rights that turn Brashear around. Brashear rights himself and Roy slips to the ice. They get back up and squareoff fairly. Roy tries to throw again, but Brashear grabs his right and mutes it. Brashear pulls the jersey over Roy's head while throwing lefts and and looks to connect on at least two, with Roy going down.

Comments: Dingman lays out Roenick. Roenick stays down, and Vandermeer makes a bee-line for Dingman. (You see a glove literally go flying to about the blue line.) These guys dance around a lot, with Dingman landing one and Vandermeer landing two, but these two are in really close. Vandermeer gets his left free and Dingman totally covers up.

Comments: Therien checks Clymer. Clymer challenges Therien, they drop em and grapple for a bit, trying to get off some weak punches that don't seem to land. Therien eventually wrestles Clymer to the ice.

Comments: They start throwing and both land a few, Lapointe keeps burying his head in Pratt's shoulder, each time he poked his head out he seemed to land some good shots. Lapointe did most of the punching, landing a couple of shots, one of which really caught Pratt good. Pratt landed a few, mostly over the top though, catching helmet.

Comments: Ottawa scores to go up three. These guys are lined up. Dingman holds and holds as Neil lands a couple of glancing blows. Dingman throws a jab. Neil lands another average blow. Dingman holds and falls again as Neil lands a shot on the way down.

Comments: Simon hooks Dingman and asks to dance. He thinks about it and then sheds his gloves and grabs on. Simon rips Dingman's helmet off with his right and throws three lefts, maybe one or two landing as Dingman just hung on and drove Simon up against the benches. Dingman then pushes Simon over the boards.

Comments: They shove along the bench, Pratt challenges Bradley and off come the gloves. They were going toe to toe with both guys firing rights and landing two or three good shots each. Pratt seemed to have landed the best punch that bent Bradley over, but that didn't slow him down much. They continued to throw, but not much landed after that because they were running out of gas from being so active. The linesmen were finaly able to pull them apart.

Comments: Started in the neutral zone. They were spinning a bit and throwing wild punches. Sarich got a few in as he was throwing left and right uppercuts at the smaller Buchberger. Kelly tried to throw a few lefts and may have gotten one in, but he lost his balance as he was throwing. One of Sarich's early punches did land well because Buchy was bleeding between the eyes.

Comments: Boogie and Dingman are in the death lock behind the net. They push apart and Boughner lands one, with Dingman actually throwing back and then controlling some grappling. Dingman throws a couple more and falls on Boogie.

Comments: Lecavalier slashes Gauthier in front of the net and Gauthier turns around and drops his gloves. Both guys throw a few rights that miss. Lecavalier got in a good right before Gauthier landed that bomb on his own that really stunned Vinny and he goes down with Gauthier. Both guys try to throw punches while on the ground. Other Penalties: Lecavalier received a slashing; Gauthier an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: All Sarich in this one. Pettinger seemed hesitant to drop 'em after a late hit, but does anyway. Sarich easily over matched Pettinger switching hands and landing several flush shots. Pettinger was trying to punch with his right hand, but it was being held down, so Sarich just kept on hitting him clean in the face.

Comments: Starts in front of the penalty boxes and Low gets in five short noogie-rights to the side of Dingman's head, then Dingman pushes Low into the glass. Dingman throws a missed right, and so does Low. They then trade weak rights that hit. Dingman throws one more, and then decides to try to hug out Low. Low throws and lands three or four from each hand, as he switches up a few times, but they all hit helmet or are weak shots. Dingman then gets twisted around and Low falls on top of him.

Comments: They talk before the faceoff and McAllister trips Dingman. He gets up and they drop em. Dingman throws two rights to McAllister's should and then Mac throws a big right that goes behind Dingman's head, and momentum causes McAllister to go down. While McAllister is getting up Dingman chucks his elbow pad and throws a right, no harm. McAllister throws his own, that lands on the back of Dingman's shoulder as he moves in-close and these two hug until the linesmen come in.

Comments: These two line up next to each other and off the faceoff they drop the mitts. Roy starts off with a few rights, then Hordichuck answers back and Roy loses his balance. Roy gets up and throws a couple more rights, but Hordichuck quickly responds with some of his own. Roy falls again, and the linesmen come in to try and break it up, but Hordichuck throws a shot while Roy was down and Roy starts firing away while on his back. Both guys mimic each other by dusting off their hands on the way to the penalty box.

Comments: A big scrum ensues at the end of the period. Afinogenov and Taylor grapple behind the net. The camera moves to other players, and when it comes back, the gloves are off. Taylor has Afinogenov shoved up against the net. Afinogenov throws a right that doesn't land and that carries him off balance and they go down. Easily could have been double roughing minors. Other Penalties: Afinogenov, Taylor and J.P. Dumont each received a roughing.

Comments: Sarich punched Briere in the face earlier in the game, setting a bit of a nasty tone. Mair gets crushed by Sarich, and Peters goes after him. They drop the gloves and grab on. Peters lands a right early. Another one hits helmet, another hits under the armpit. Another attempt is blocked by Sarich. Peters tries to get the right free and misses with a poke. A right by Sarich ends up falling short. More grappling, a short right by Peters doesn’t land. Peters struggles to get his arm free, Sarich is doing a good job tying him up. A right by Peters doesn’t land, but sends Sarich off-balance a bit. He responds with a right that misses. He tries an uppercut, which also doesn’t land. A couple of attempted rights by Peters are blocked. Rights by each man don’t go anywhere. A right by Sarich misses. Peters taps Sarich with an uppercut. Peters lands a decent right. An uppercut by Sarich just misses. Peters grazes a right, Sarich misses with a response. Peters lands a right that looks to sting Sarich a bit and he buries his head. Peters shoves the helmet off and throws one to the back of the head. The linesmen come in and it’s over. Other Penalties: Sarich received an unsportsmanlike conduct.
