| Comments: LaCouture lands a big check on Darren Rumble who had been mixing it up with Messier some along the boards. Immediately Sarich skates over and knocks LaCouture down, then stands over him with the challenge. As soon as LaCouture gets up, they both shed the gloves. LaCouture lands a good left to start. They then begin to trade pretty well with both landing, though nothing looked real hard. Towards the end LaCouture starts to tire, his first game off the IR from a separated shoulder, and Sarich starts to take over. Sarich lands a nice uppercut as LaCouture is burying his head trying to get in-close. They get in tight and the linesmen jump in. In the box, LaCouture is sporting a nice welt above his right eye while Sarich goes to the lockerroom for repairs to a cut. Other Penalties: Sarich received a roughing. | ||

Although Lacouture landed the best punch(about middle), he was a CLEAR loser in this medium-long scrap which was a nice one in my mind.
