Oct 12, 2002 3pd 01:39 Steve McKenna NYR Krzysztof Oliwa
Comments: Oliwa just misses a big check on Pushor. McKenna comes over they drop em. Oliwa misses a right, McKenna is trying to get his forearm pad free and grazes Oliwas cheek with a right. Oliwa comes up short with a right, McKenna the same. Oliwa misses badly with 3 rights while McKenna is hunched over, still trying to get free from his arm/elbow pad, then throws a right that hits Oliwa's shoulder. Oliwa hits McKenna in the back of the head with a right. Some wrestling and then Oliwa throws a right over an already falling McKenna and goes flying over McKenna's back. Oliwa had a decent gash on his left cheek either from the McKenna right or more likely his elbow pad.

Oct 12, 2002 3pd 10:25 Dan LaCouture NYR Ron Petrovicky
Comments: Lacouture runs over Petrovicky, then shoves him while he's down and eggs him on. They both drop the gloves. Petrovicky lands a decent right to Dan's temple snapping his head. They both throw with Petro's right grazing/missin and Dan's left an ok shot to the mouth. Lacouture pushes Petro to the boards, while Petro has him in a headlock. Dan slips out and is now beside Petrovicky, who ducks under a left. Lacouture lands a left push-punch and Petro is halfway in the Pens' bench. He throws another left to Petro's temple, who his now facing the Pens' bench. He throws another soft left to Petro's ear, who throws a right to Dan's ear. Lacouture goes for the take down, and slips and pulls Petrovicky down on him.

Oct 26, 2002 2pd 09:57 Jamie Pushor BUF Eric Boulton
Comments: Pushor nails Campbell, and Boulton goes after him. Lots of grappling, and they both landed some punches, none too effective, Pushor might have gotten a couple more in. Other Penalties: Brian Campell and Dan LaCouture received roughings; Boulton a cross checking; Pushor an instigator and misconduct.

Oct 26, 2002 2pd 09:57 Wayne Primeau BUF Adam Mair
Comments: They exchanged punches as Pushor and Boulton are going. Mair threw the first one, then Primeau dropped his gloves and looked to throw a big right. Nothing too exciting, they calm down as they realize that Boulton and Pushor are going, but it is too late, they get game misconducts for a nothing fight. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts.

Oct 26, 2002 3pd 19:57 Steve McKenna BUF Eric Boulton
Comments: Boulton wants to go with McKenna as the clock ticks down. They drop with McKenna skating towards a backtracking Boulton. McKenna clocks Boulton with a right to the jaw, stunning Boulton, who ducks and puts both hands over his head and falls to ice/knees. McKenna then throws 5 more to the top of the head to the defenceless, turtling Boulton.

Nov 22, 2002 2pd 04:43 Dan LaCouture @ATL Andy Sutton
Comments: LaCouture puts a huge hit on Sutton at center. Andy gets up and goes after Danny. LaCouture is more then willing to go after a little square off. Sutton grabs and starts to fire rights on the much smaller LaCouture. LaCouture trys to throw rights as well, but is on the defensive. Sutton lands at least one that scrapes Lacouture under the left eye. Sutton then ties him up and throwns him down.

Nov 23, 2002 2pd 18:13 Dan LaCouture SAN Matt Bradley
Comments: After the Pens score to make it 4-0, Bradley and LaCouture drop em right after the faceoff and have a decent sqaure off. Bradley leans in and LaCouture throws 3 lefts with the second appearing to land (high camera angle) and the 3rd brushing the side of Bradley's neck. Dan throws 2 more lefts that don't connect and Bradley throws 3 wild rights under LaCouture's arm. LaCouture throws 2 more lefts which miss, then Bradley throws another wild haymaker that catches nothing but air. They are tied up pretty good. Dan throws an uppercut (cant tell if it hit), then a left overtop that misses, then throws an off-balance Bradley down.

Nov 29, 2002 2pd 15:53 Dan LaCouture @BUF Rhett Warrener
Comments: It starts in the faceoff circle to the right of the Buffalo net. LaCouture throws around three punches that land on the side of the head. Lots of grappling, Warrener gets his left free and throws a couple, either not landing or just to the side of the head. More wrestling, LaCouture tries a short right, Warrener gets his right free, throws a couple, landing on one, and pulls LaCouture down. A lot of wrestling with neither guy landing much.

Comments: Grosek nails Kovalev from behind in the boards, Ference comes right over to stick up for the Pens' star and drops them with Grosek. Bad camera angle. Ference throws a few shots glove-on and then a few lefts that looked like they may have landed. Grosek throws a missing shot and then they went down. Other Penalties: Ference received an instigator and misconduct.

Dec 17, 2002 1pd 03:15 Steve McKenna @PHO Andrei Nazarov
Comments: They drop em after a faceoff and the camera is late getting there. Naz throws 3 or 4 lefts as they come together. Punches don't appear to land as McKenna throws a right. They're face to face, hugging. Naz tries 2 lefts that come up short, then lands a left to McKenna's neck, popping his lid off. Naz throws 3 more lefts, none landing. McKenna tries a left that is short, then landed a softie to Naz's ear. McKenna then tries 2 uppercuts, none hitting. Naz sticks his head in McKenna's chest and takes him down hard.

Dec 21, 2002 2pd 17:42 Dan LaCouture CAL Steve Montador
Comments: Flames down 2-0, so Montador challenges Lacouture. Lacouture accepts and they grab on, both firing lefts. Lacouture looks to land the first punch, a pretty good looking left. Montador is throwing lefts as well, but isn't connecting. After spinning once, Montador looks like he lands a left on the forehead of Danny and Danny just throws him around and down they go.

Dec 23, 2002 1pd 08:30 Wayne Primeau BUF Chris Gratton
Comments: Gratton is looking for payback for an earlier hit, bumps Primeau after the play, and they drop the gloves. Gratton is in control early, throwing rights, a few uppercuts, nothing landing all that well. Primeau gets his right free from the jersey and starts throwing rights, nothing really effective. Gratton comes back with his own, and they trade rights back and forth for a while until the linesmen step in. Other Penalties: Dmitri Kalinin received a hooking.

Dec 26, 2002 2pd 13:36 Andrew Ference @NYR Matt Barnaby
Comments: This one started right off the faceoff after Ference got out of the box for a dustup with Lindros. Ference actually drops the gloves first expecting Barnaby to seek the revenge. They grab on strong to each other's rights and lock each other out. Both try to throw multiple rights, but can't reach. Barnaby starts to release the left and jab, but Ference does a nice job of throwing a right immediately, causing Barnaby to grab on again. Nothing of significance is landing. Andy then pins Barnaby against the boards and the refs look to jump in while Barnaby yaps "No!" as usual. Ference looks like he'd be content to end it here, but Barnaby spins off the boards and starts throwing the lefts. Ference responds with the rights. Both land grazing shots and tie up again. The linesmen jump in to end this.
Voted winner: Matt Barnaby (81.8%) - Voted rating: 4.8

Jan 04, 2003 1pd 11:49 Steve McKenna NYI Eric Cairns
Comments: Some talking and these two drop the gloves and grab on. McKenna throws two rights. First one hits shoulder, the second hits nothing. Cairns, holding on to McKenna's jersey with his left hand, gives him some quick left-handed jabs. They go to start swinging again and McKenna falls.

Jan 09, 2003 1pd 15:42 Steve McKenna TOR Wade Belak
Comments: Starts with Belak hitting McKenna against the glass, Mckenna responds with a butt end and Belak throws down first. McKenna follows and gets the jump on him, landing two good shots in a flurry of about four. Belak is getting handled and he looks like he is going down when he regains his composure and gets to arms length with him. Belak then throws a short flurry, landing one. McKenna loses his balance, but jumps back up and throws another quick bundle, one or two grazing this time. Then Belak twists McKenna and lands two shots on his way down. Other Penalties: Belak received a charging.

Jan 23, 2003 3pd 17:10 Dan LaCouture BOS Lee Goren
Comments: LaCouture goes after Goren late in the game, for Goren taking Kovies knees out in the 1st. LaCouture controlled the fight and landed a few good lefts, Goren really didn't look like he even threw a punch. Goren also looked cut on the forehead. Other Penalties: LaCouture received an instigator and misconduct.

Jan 28, 2003 1pd 16:34 Jamie Pushor @NYI Jason Wiemer
Comments: Along the boards around the Isles blueline the two are chatting. The gloves come off and Wiemer lands an initial few. Pushor then returns fire landing a few of his own. They start to grapple a bit and go back and forth with rights. Wiemer appeared to land more. Pushor fell after a Wiemer punch, no tko, just a knockdown, even just a loss of balance.

Feb 06, 2003 3pd 10:34 Steve McKenna FLA Brad Ference
Comments: Mckenna, who was trying to fight all night, goes nuts on Ference and starts to hammer him. Worrell jumps on Mckenna's back to get the 3rd mand in. Everyone piles up. Pushor grabs Beaudoin. They have a hold of each other and Pushor gets his arm free and starts throwing a few. A couple catch helmet or are grazers, but then he lands a hard left hook square. Beaudoin stays up for a second after this, but then bails, falling to the ice. Seeing that no ref can break it up he gets back up. Pushor may have thrown a couple more which is when Luongo comes in. Beaudoin throws his only punch of the fight with Luongo in there that lands to Pushor. This is when Charon comes down and the fight pretty much ends. Other Penalties: Ference received a roughing, Shean Donovan received a roughing; Peter Worrel a roughing and game misconduct; Roberto Luongo and Sebastien Caron received leaving the crease minors; McKenna an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Comments: After a couple of incidents during the game Lemieux goes right after Ference, drops the gloves and thows one. Ference doesn't drop the gloves and is bent over as everyone comes rushing in. Trnka 3rd mans it, but he eventually gets some lefts from Bergervin who has joined the frey. Afterwards Mario, Kovalev, and Bergervin all were pulling Ference by the shirt. Feb 08, 2003 1pd 02:36 Dan LaCouture @BOS P.J. Stock
Comments: PJ challenges Lacouture, who quickly obliges. Lacouture throws a left that's short while back-tracking. Dan lands a nothing left to PJ's helmet. They twirl and PJ throws a left that misses. They both push the others jersey up to their chins. PJ throws a right that looks to graze DL'S face, then PJ hits him in the helmet with a right. Lacouture ducks down while PJ pops Dan's helmet off with a right to the back of the head. PJ throws a few more noogie shots at a ducking Lacouture, then gets Dan up against the boards and nails him with a nice right to his temple. Lacouture throws a big left that just glances of PJ's helmet just as a Stock right misses. Stock throws two more rights that don't connect while Dan's right hits PJ's arm. Stock gets Dan off-balance and slams him backwards hard while throwing a left that didn't hit.

Feb 08, 2003 3pd 19:09 Jamie Pushor @BOS P.J. Stock
Comments: Pushor throws a left too far away to see if it hits any good. Stock throws about three rights to the back of Pushor's head getting him off-balance. Pushor throws a hard right to PJ's neck, then PJ tries a right, but Pushor has his jersey tied up. The linesman is ready to grab on, then PJ throws a weak haymaker that hits Pushor's chest. PJ is now yelling at the linesman who is grabbing his sleeve. PJ lands a nice right to Pushor's cheek, didn't look flush. Stock throws two big rights that miss a dancing Pushor, then two nothing rights that miss badly. They're at arms length now. Pushor tries a left that comes up short. Stock tries to pull him in, as Pushor bounces a left off the top of PJ's helmet. PJ once again comes barreling in towards Pushor and ducks under a Pushor right. Pushor then grabs him in a headlock.

Feb 08, 2003 3pd 19:09 Wayne Primeau @BOS Hal Gill
Comments: When the camera gets there Gill looks like he hits himself in the head with an uppercut (really). Prims throws a right that Gill ducks under. Gill throws a right to Prims' shoulder. Camera leaves to show Moran and Oliwa doing their best "let me at 'em" routine while being mauled by the refs. Now back to the Primeau-Gill. They are hugging big-time, then Primeau throws a short right that rocks Gills head slightly. Gill throws a bodypunch. Prims just misses with a awkward right, then glances a right off of Gill's shoulder. Primeau ducks under to avoid a Gill right and then throws a nothing right to Gill's neck. The camera then pulls back to show Pushor-Stock. Other Penalties: Ian Moran received a charging; LaCouture and Sean Brown a roughing; Krzysztof Oliwa a roughing, charging and misconduct.

Feb 15, 2003 1pd 09:13 Steve McKenna @NJD Jim McKenzie
Comments: McKenzie wanted McKenna right off the faceoff, right after the pens went up 2-0. They were both throwing, but then Steve's right arm got tied up in his jersey and his elbow pad was down around his wrist so he couldn't throw. McKenzie just teed off on him with lefts from there and McKenna had to bail.

Comments: Malec Speared Ian Moran in the neutral zone in the second period. Pushor and Manderville both went after Malec but it was Mandeville that ended on top throwing rights, Mandy landed 2 good ones and Malec covered up and received nothing. Next period McKenna goes after Malec, no real fight, he just tossed him around like a rag doll and Ville Niemenen ended up going with Malec. Pretty good scrap, both guys throwing and landing, Niemenen's lip was cut, but Niemenen did a good job of standing up for a teammate. Other Penalties: McKenna received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Nieminen a double instigator, misconduct and game misconduct.

Comments: Heins slams Neil into the boards, Neil is shakin up. On the next faceoff Teteranko went after Heins, and Heins didn't hesitate to drop his gloves. Heins got a few rights in, it looked like they hit helmet, then Tetarenko threw a couple that looked to hit Heins in the shoulder pad area. Tetarenko then went for an uppercut and didn't get much, then he landed a punch and Heins went down, but got right back up and threw a couple as both men were going down.

Then McKenna threw two, they didn't look like they got too much, but Steve had Helanius backing up. It looked like Helanius didn't want any more and Steve just over-powered him and got the takedown.
