With the Flyers up 5-1, Godard and Brashear meet in the neutral zone. Godard grabs a hold of Brashear and catches him with a few good rights. Brashear gets in close and gets the left going. Godard answers back with a few more good rights. Brash then throws two thundering lefts. Godard returns fire with three or four rights, connecting. Brashear gets the left going again and Godard loses his balance and falls on Brashear. Brashear leaves the ice with a cut above his left eye.

Brashear throws a nice hit on Kimisarek and Komisarek pushes Brash and then drops his gloves. They grab on and Komisarek tries to throw a few rights, but nothing lands. Komisarek gets Brashear's helmet off and still can't land anything. Brashear tries to throw a few lefts, but nothing lands. As they wrestle, Komisarek goes to a knee and gets back up. Brashear tries to throw a few more lefts and nothing seems to land, then Komisarek wrestles him to the ice. Other Penalties: Komisarek received an instigator and misconduct.

They start exchanging rights for a few seconds with Asham landing the majority of his punches. Asham throws another right and loses his balance as both players fall to the ice. Asham throws a couple rights as they are falling.

They drop the gloves behind the play with Boogaard throwing a right as Brashear loses his balance and falls. As Brashear returns to his feet, Boogaard takes a spill of his own. They wrestle around for a bit until both get loose and start trading punches: Boogaard with rights, Brashear with lefts. Boogaard's head goes down and Brashear continues to throw numerous unanswered lefts. They get in tight as Boogaard throws a locked out right. Brashear gets his left loose and throws 3-4 short uppercuts as Boogaard falls to the ice.

They start talking and decide to drop the gloves right after a faceoff. They square off before Peters grabs on as Gratton misses with a right while Peters throws a right of his own. The two then exchange hard right hands simultaneously. They follow that up by exchanging a series of numerous right hands, each landing at least a few. Gratton switches hands and throws a jersey-jab that slows the pace. They start going back and forth with rights once again, Peters getting the better of the exchange. Gratton then comes back with a few rights of his own. Peters throws a couple of rights as Gratton switches to the left and throws about four as Peters tries to return fire. Peters throws a right before they get in tight and start grappling. Gratton throws an overhand right to the back of Peters' head before they lose their balance and fall to the ice.

Mair takes at run at Jeff Carter, but only partially connects with an open ice check. Brashear comes over and gives Mair a shot in retaliation. Peters skates over in Mair's defense as he and Brashear push and shove before Gratton challenges Mair and they drop the gloves. They tie up as both players struggle to get loose. Gratton takes Mair's helmet off and throws a few short rights. Mair pushes Gratton up against the boards as Gratton throws a few rabbit punches to the side of Mair's head. Mair throws a left as Gratton tries to throw a few locked-out rights. They spin around before Gratton gets his left hand loose and throws a couple of punches with Mair throwing a right. They get in tight and wrestle around until Gratton gets free and throws a couple of rights as Mair loses his balance and pulls Gratton down with him.

Exelby tries to grab Richards' helmet before Richards takes it off himself because he is wearing a visor. Richards throws a jersey-jab as Exelby misses with a couple of locked-out rights. Richards throws two more rights with Exelby returning fire with a right of his own. Richards then misses with a long left as Exelby throws a left while Richards' head is down. Exelby switches hands and throws a few rights before Richards throws two rights of his own. Richards loses his balance and falls to the ice before Exelby throws 3-4 punches while Richards is on his knees.

Both players struggle to get an arm free before Eagers throws four short, quick rights, two of them landing. Hollweg throws another left before they start wrestling around in tight. Hollweg lands an overhand right to Eager's helmet and then rips it off Eager's head. Hollweg gets Eager bent over and throws four lefts that cause Eager to fall to the ice. Hollweg skates away with a cut next to his right eye.

Meyer switches hands and throws two rights to the side of Talbot's helmet before Talbot throws a right of his own. Meyer pushes Talbot up against the glass as Talbot lands a right to the back of Meyer's head. Meyer then grabs Talbot's leg, picks him up, and slams him to the ice as the linesmen rush in.

Richards throws a left jab as Endicott misses with an overhand right, allowing Richards to connect with a right hook that sends Endicott to the ice and the linesmen diving in.

They both attempt a couple of overhand rights as Brashear misses with a long right. They wrestle around in tight as Orr lands some rabbit punches. Brashear lands a left to the side of Orr's helmet before they wrestle up against the boards. They exchange punches before Brashear throws a flurry of six left hands, with about four landing. Orr ducks away from the punches, sticking his head over the bench while Brashear has his left hand cocked. The linesmen then come in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Brashear received a roughing.

Minutes earlier Stevenson missed a hit on Petr Prucha, but still clipped his knee, forcing him to leave the game. It doesn't take Strudwick very long to find Stevenson and drop the gloves. They grapple quickly and Strudwick tries a couple of quick rights that come up short. Stevenson attempts an overhand right that doesn't connect. Strudwick throw his own right that misses. Stevenson goes back to the overhand right that Strudwick avoids. The momentum of Stevenson's miss sends him to the ice with Strudwick on top.

Off the faceoff these two start shaking their gloves and agree to go. They square off and dive in with McGrattan getting the slightly better position. It allows him to throw the three good rights that knock Brashear's helmet off. McGrattan continues with a combination of a straight right and an uppercut, followed by another right. This allows Brashear to get his left loose a and he lands a shot, which McGrattan responds to. At arms-length, the two throw a few wild rights, although McGrattan catches Brashear with one good one. Brashear is grappling, trying to make a comeback, but McGrattan spins him around and to the ice as he throws one last overhand right.

Gauthier keeps his himself turned away and Neil stops throwing, allowing the linesmen to come in. Gauthier skates away with a cut by his left eye. Other Penalties: Neil received a roughing.

The two go back and forth with rights before Bouchard is able to grabs Richards right arm, preventing him from throwing. Richards gets free and throws an uppercut followed by two rights. Bouchard attempts a locked-out right that misses the target, allowing Richards to switch hands and throw a flurry of left hooks and uppercuts. Richards pushes Bouchard against the bench and throws a body shot-overhand right-uppercut combination while Bouchard fights to get loose. Richards then switches hands and connects with one final left before the linesmen decide that it's time to end the fight, grabbing the two while they fall to the ice.

Hollweg returns fire with a left and the two go toe-to-toe with punches: Hollweg with lefts, Richards with rights. Richards goes down to his knees but quickly gets back up. The two then throw a couple of wild overhand rights before they fall to the ice.

Brashear returns to his feet and throws another left while Cairns returns fire with five straight rights, one of them knocking off Brashear's helmet. Brashear is able to get Cairns bent over and then gets his left arm free, firing off three lefts. Cairns responds with a right and the two go toe-to-toe with punches for a short moment: Brashear with lefts, Cairns with rights. Brashear then throws three more lefts while Cairns tries to get his right arm free from Brashear's grasp. Cairns does and throws two more rights while Brashear loses his balance and falls to the ice.

Marshall gets in a few more lefts while Gauthier is down and the linesmen finally step in. Other Penalties: Marshall received a boarding.
