2005-2006 Regular Season

Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Mar 25, 2006 Ottawa Senators Chris Neil
3pd 11:56 Philadelphia Flyers Denis Gauthier
Comments: Gauthier throws a big check on Bryan Smolinski and Neil's there to challenge him. They drop the gloves, grapple quickly and Neil throws a couple of quick overhand rights. Gauther is bent over and Neil throws a couple of short uppercuts, then mixes it up going over and under, landing at will, while Gauthier is bent over and then turned away. Gauthier keeps his himself turned away and Neil stops throwing, allowing the linesmen to come in. Gauthier skates away with a cut by his left eye. Other Penalties: Neil received a roughing.

Good to see Gauthier get dominated again. Gautihier has no problem layin' somebody out (has done cheap stuff all through his career) but when it comes to dropping the gloves for some on-on-one he gets pounded! Easy win for Neil.

I still don't know if I'm a Neil fan or not but I really appreciated what he did in this one. Gauthier had a good @ss whooping coming and Chris obliged. I'd like to see more of this for the guys who go throwing all the wreckless hits, like Gauthier. Send in a bruiser to remind them of what playing wrecklessly will getcha.......an @ss whoopin. Well done Chris!!!

Like to see Neil stick up for his teammates. As far as Neil not fighting tough guys, go check his fight card clown. Looks like he has fought most of the leagues heavies. He might not be the most popular guy in the league, but everyone wants him or someone like him on their team.

Wow, the school yard bully picked a fight with someone over 6 ft tall! Im shocked, Gauthier was at the end of his shift, itll be different next time, Neil is a coward, im glad Brash laid him out the other day. And on top of that, the Caps spanked the senorita's twice in 1 week!!
