Comments: They drop the gloves at center ice and tie up. Both guys get loose and Strudwick just misses with a right. Marshall comes back with a left of his own and both fighters exchange punches. They tie up again and wrestle to get loose. Strudwick throws a right as Marshall counters with a left. Strudwick throws a big right which Marshall ducks under. They tie up again and Strudwick lands a couple punches to the back of Marshall's head as he holds on. Marshall lands two lefts to the side of Strudwick's head and then loses his balance, allowing Strudwick to land a few rabbit punches before the linesmen come in to break things up.

Comments: They drop the gloves immediately after a Brad Lukowich goal. The camera shows them tied up as Godard throws three rights, the last one knocking Langdon's helmet off. Godard lands another right before they tie up again. Godard gets his right free and throws a nice uppercut and a strong right. Langdon finally gets an arm loose as Godard comes over the top with a right. Langdon lands a quick left that catches Godard off-guard. Godard tries to throw some rights, but Langdon has him tied up. Both players miss with a right as Langdon lands a couple of jersey-jabs. Both players exchange rights and then just hold on until the linesmen come in.

Comments: Sutherby takes a shot at Brodeur and Brown immediately goes after him, throwing a gloved punch and shoving him into the boards. All of the other players start pushing and shoving as well. They drop the gloves and start exchanging right hands. Sutherby gets knocked off-balance against the boards as Brown is able to land numerous right hands on Sutherby. Sutherby is able to regain his balance and the two wrestle along the boards. Sutherby gets loose and throws a left. Brown returns fire with a couple of body blows followed by an uppercut. Sutherby comes back with a couple of rights of his own until he loses his balance and both fighters fall to the ice.

Comments: They start talking while skating back from the New Jersey net and drop the gloves at the blueline. Marshall throws a quick right before they grab on. Marshall throws a right as Payer comes back with a couple of rights of his own. Payer then misses with a right allowing Marshall to switch hands and throw a flurry of lefts before they start exchanging punches: Marshall with lefts, Payer with rights. Marshall was able to get Payer's head down and started throwing numerous uppercuts. Payer returned fire with a left before the two wrestle each other to the ice and let the linesmen come in.

Comments: They drop the gloves right off the faceoff as Shelley throws a quick right. They tie up as Shelley throws a couple of short right crosses and uppercuts while Langdon returns fire with some short rights of his own. They continue exchanging punches for a good while with Shelley throwing and landing more punches. They tie up and wrestle around for a bit as they skate closer to the boards. Shelley fires a couple of rights as Langdon comes back with some rights of his own as the two begin to exchange rights once again. Shelley is able to shake off his elbow pad and cocks back his right, patiently waiting for spots to throw big punches while Langdon continues to throw short rights and jersey-jabs. Langdon switches hands and starts throwing lefts as Shelley returns fire with rights. They continue to exchange rights until the end of the fight where they just hold on until the linesmen come in.

Comments: Janssen puts a nice hit on Mats Sundin and Tucker comes over to challenge the rookie. They drop the gloves and grab on. Tucker gets loose first and lands a nice right to the left cheek. Tucker gets free and starts throwing several more rights, the first two with his helmet stuck on his sleeve. Janssen throws a right of his own, and they grab on with Tucker trying to work his way out of his sleeve. Janssen now starts throwing some very good occassional rights while Tucker seems to have tired. Janssen catches Tucker with a few good ones of the half dozen or so he throws. Janssen then waives the linesmen off and throws some more rights, one of which really caught Tucker and made him bury his head. At the end they have one more brief exchange with a few more rights from Janssen and Tucker trying to answer with his right and then with a left. Janssen is cut on the left cheek, either from Tucker's first punch or from the helmet. Other Penalties: Tucker received a head butting major.

Comments: They start pushing and shoving in front of the Capitals' net and drop the gloves. Witt throws 4-5 rights to start things off as Marshall returns fire with two rights of his own. Witt throws another right as Marshall goes down to a knee for a moment. He gets back up and throws a few lefts while Witt is still throwing rights. Witt switches hands and throws two lefts before they get in tight and wrestle around, causing the linesmen to step in and end the fight.

Comments: They drop the gloves behind the play as Belak throws a couple of rights to the back of Janssen's head. Belak then throws 4-5 jersey-jabs as Janssen just holds on. Belak throws 3-4 more jersey-jabs and a quick right as Janssen throws a right. Janssen throws two rights as both players struggle to get loose. Belak then throws a right as Janssen gets Belak up against the boards and throws a right of his own. They grapple before Belak throws a short right with Janssen returning fire with two rights that hit the back of Belak's helmet. They wrestle up against the boards until the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Belak received a roughing.

Comments: The two start talking while Montador plays the puck and skates up ice. They talk some more and finally drop the gloves behind the play. They square off for a short while before they grab on with Montador throwing two quick lefts. They wrestle around in tight until both get loose as they exchange rights to the side of each other's head. Montador then gets Janssen turned around and bent over as he lands 5-6 rights to the back of Janssen's head. Janssen then does the same to Montador, but is unable to get any punches off. Montador turns back around and lands three right crosses before switching hands and throwing two lefts. Janssen is able to land a right of his own while Montador is throwing. Janssen misses with an uppercut as the two exchange right hands while spinning. Janssen then throws a couple of more rights that knock both players off-balance and to the ice.

Comments: They drop the gloves near the blueline and square off. They grab on and Murray starts things off with four quick rights to the back of Janssen's head and then connects with two jersey-jabs. Janssen throws an uppercut and a right before the two exchange punches to the side of each other's helmets. Murray lands two rights as Janssen tries to shake off his elbow pad. Janssen throws two rights and Murray one before Murray switches hands and throws a few jersey-jabs. Janssen connects with a wild uppercut and then rips off Murray's helmet as Murray buries his head into Janssen's shoulder. Janssen lands two uppercuts and 5-6 rights to the back of Murray's head before Murray skates away himself.

Marshall then connects with a big left that sends Peters' helmet flying. Marshall misses with another left and is able to duck under a Peters right before Peters loses his balance and falls to the ice. Marshall lands a body shot while they are going down.

Comments: They get the sticks up and start pushing and shoving in front of the benches as they drop the gloves. Hale connects with three straight rights as Mair is holding on to the side board. Mair lets go and the two skate out to center ice where Hale lands two more rights as Mair throws a left. Mair lands two overhand rights to the back of Hale's helmet before ripping it off as Hale misses with a right. Mair misses with a left and hangs on to Hale in order to stay on his feet. Mair throws four more lefts to the back of Hale's head as Hale throws two rights, missing with one and landing one to the side of Mair's head. Mair throws 5-6 lefts to the back of Hale's head while Hale attempts a few locked-out rights. Mair throws a couple of body shots before the two hold on and wait for the linesmen to come in.

Comments: Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves with Marshall throwing a quick right. They both struggle to get loose until Mayers throws two lefts that miss as Marshall comes back with a left that hits the back of Mayers' helmet. Mayers switches hands and throws a short left as Marshall comes over the top with a right that misses before wrestling Mayers down to his knees. Mayers returns to his feet and throws a right as Marshall responds with three lefts. Mayers gets turned around and loses his balance before Marshall pushes him to the ice.

Comments: Jackman skates over and bumps Janssen, skating around him in a circle before they both drop the gloves and grab on. They grapple around inside until both guys try locked-out rights. Janssen gets free and throws three rights with two of them landing. They struggle to get loose as Janssen misses with a wide right. Jackman continues to hold on as Janssen shakes off his elbow pad and connects with two more rights. Janssen throws another right that hits the side of Jackman's helmet as Jackman tries to shake his elbow pad off, using his teeth at one point to try and pry it off. Janssen switches hands and lands two lefts while they are spinning. Jackman finally gets free and lands two rights to the back of Janssen's head as a Janssen right is blocked. Jackman gets Janssen up against the glass and throws a flurry of overhand rights and body shots with some landing. Janssen then throws three rights and an uppercut that come just short of the target. Jackman lands 4-5 lefts to the back of Janssen's helmet before the linesmen come in to separate the two. Jackman throws a right body shot with Janssen returning fire with a right while the linesmen are in between the two. Other Penalties: Aaron Downey received a misconduct.

Hollweg loses his balance and falls to the ice as Janssen throws two more rights while Hollweg is falling. Janssen is given an ice pack for his knuckles in the penalty box.

They each throw a couple of more jersey-jabs as Asham lands another right while Janssen waits for an opening. Asham throws two more rights and a jersey-jab before the two go back and forth with rights for a short while. Asham connects with two short lefts before the two exchange rights once more for an extended period of time. Janssen then connects with three straight rights before the two throw simultaneous rights. Asham then pushes Janssen to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Comments: Behind the play, Erskine gives Janssen a little slash, letting him know that he wants to go. Janssen turns around, quickly drops his gloves, and grabs ahold of Erskine before throwing a quick right to start things off. They exchange right hands and Erskine knocks Janssen's helmet off during the exchange. Erskine then throws three rights and a jersey-jab while Janssen returns fire with two rights. Erskine throws a couple of more jersey-jabs as Janssen shakes off his elbow pad and lands a hard right to the side of Erksine's head. Erskine comes back with a right of his own as the two struggle to get free. Janssen throws a right and the two go back and forth with right hands. Erskine is able to tie Janssen up and throw three more rights as Janssen throws one. They exchange words and Janssen cracks a smile before the two go back and forth with rights once more. The two yap some more before Janssen throws a jersey-jab and a right while Erskine connects with a right cross. Erskine then throws two uppercuts as the linesmen come in and break up the long bout.

Janssen then throws six overhand rights, connecting with four of them while Erskine tries to duck away from the punches. Erskine throws two short uppercuts as Janssen connects with two more rights to the side of Erskine's head. Erskine throws a wide right just as the linesmen come in and break things up. Other Penalties: Erskine received an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: McGrattan takes a run at Brian Rafalski along the boards causing Janssen to skate over and challenge McGrattan. The two drop the gloves and square off near the side boards. They grab ahold of each other at arms length with McGrattan throwing five rights to the back of Janssen's helmet along with a jersey-jab to start things off. Janssen fires back with a jersey-jab of his own and the two exchange jabs along with a couple rights from McGrattan. They go back and forth with a mix of jabs and long rights for a short while until McGrattan lands three straight jersey-jabs to the side of Janssen's face. Janssen responds with a right and the two continue to exchange jabs and right hands. The linesmen attempt to step in but Janssen waves them off. McGrattan throws four long rights while Janssen is trying to duck away from the punches and wave off the linesmen once more. They go back and forth with more rights before Janssen switches hands and throws three lefts with one connecting. They wrestle around in tight as they go back and forth with rights once again while Janssen yells at the linesmen. Janssen throws two wide left hooks before the two tie up, allowing the linesmen to finally come in and end the long fight. Other Penalties: Janssen received an instigator and misconduct.

They wrestle around for a short while and Marshall takes Gauthier's helmet off. Marshall throws a right to the back of Gauthier's head and Gauthier responds with a short left. Marshall then gets his left arm free and unloads a flurry of seven lefts and uppercuts, putting Gauthier down to his knees. Marshall gets in a few more lefts while Gauthier is down and the linesmen finally step in. Other Penalties: Marshall received a boarding.

The two exchange a few punches to the back of each other's head just before Wiemer lands a body shot and an overhand right. Murray connects with two jersey-jabs and throws some more that force Wiemer to block them with his hands. They spin around and Murray lands another jab and throws two wild rights to the back of Wiemer's head while they grapple. They continue to wrestle around and attempt locked-out punches until the linesmen come in. Wiemer skates away with a welt around his left eye. Other Penalties: Aaron Downey received a misconduct.
