They're now tied up awkwardly and Barnaby wrestles him down to the ice.

Allison gets his left free and starts throwing shots. Ellison tries to just bury his head and his helmet pops off after a couple and the linesmen come in immediately. Stevenson falls onto Simpson and the linesmen jump in to break it up. A scrum starts in front of Vokoun, but no other majors come out of it. Right off of the faceoff after a Blue Jackets goal, these two drop the gloves and swing away. Both guys are throwing bombs while going toe-to-toe. Shelley has Hordichuk bent over a bit and there's a long pause while each tries to get the other's lid off. Both come back with big rights, and Shelley's did more damage. Hordi is cut under his left eye and Shelley has a bloody nose.

At center ice they drop the gloves a fair distance from each other and square off. They circle around a bit and grab on, each getting a hold of the other's jersey. They both miss with a right, then Stevenson gets Brennan in a head-lock as he goes down to one knee. They get back up are in close. A few punches are thrown, but both guys are on the defensive with nothing landing. They spin around and Stevenson falls to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Hordichuk lands a nice, clean hit on Marleau at the blueline. Smith immediately goes after Hordichuk. Hordichuk shoves Syvret into Markaanen and in comes Laraque and off come the gloves. Hordichuk comes in quickly as Laraque ducks a quick left. Laraque grabs on and begins to furiously throw right hands. Hordichuk starts returning fire and the two go toe-to-toe with Laraque getting in more shots. Hordichuk loses his balance, allowing Laraque to throw three more rights before Hordichuk tackles him to the ice.

Hordichuk comes off the bench and goes right after Avery, hitting him hard against the boards. Hordichuk drops his gloves and starts throwing rights as Avery turtles to the ice. Tim Gleason tries a head-first dive into Hordichuk, but misses and takes a linesman with him, allowing Hordichuk to throw a couple of more rights until the linesmen finally come in. Other Penalties: Hordichuk received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Sean Avery did not receive a fighting major.

Stevenson goes down to a knee and gets back up as they move out into open ice. Boogaard throws two uppercuts as they spin around. Allison attempts a quick right and then Clymer throws two before they fall. The linesmen are quickly in to break it up. Other Penalties: Allison received a roughing.

They wrestle around for a little before Strudwick throws a flurry of quick rights, with Hordichuk returning fire with a big left. Strudwick presses Hordichuk against the boards as Hordichuk turns around and throws a right, Strudwick a left. They exchange punches before Strudwick throws another flurry of rights. They spin around and struggle to get loose until the linesmen come in.

Simpson throws two lefts, switches hands, and throws five rights as Tootoo just holds on. Darcy Hordichuk skates over and tries to get Simpson off of Tootoo as players from both sides gather. Tootoo skates back to the Nashville bench with a bloody nose. Other Penalties: Simpson received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Jordin Tootoo did not receive a fighting major.

Hordichuk then throws a body shot and an overhand right before Talbot throws two lefts. Hordichuk lands a right to the back of Talbot's head before the two fall to the ice. Bieksa returns fire right away with a couple of rights. Nichol's in an awkward position and when Bieksa attempts to throw a right uppercut Nichol falls taking Bieksa with him. The linesmen immediately break it up.

Tootoo lands a short right while the two are in close and once again switches hands to land four more lefts. Woywitka returns fire with two rights before getting turned around, allowing Tootoo to land a few rabbit punches. Tootoo throws another left before the two get in tight and allow the linesmen to intervene.

Walker throws six rights and a body shot, with some connecting, while Witt bobs his head away from the punches and throws a right cross. Walker goes down to a knee, allowing Witt to land two punches to the back of Walker's head. Witt then tries a left uppercut while Walker is bent over. Walker stands up straight and throws a few overhand rights before the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Peter Cajanek received a high sticking and roughing; Shea Weber a roughing.

Hordichuk has Barnaby up against the glass and throws a couple of more rights with one possibly landing. Barnaby is holding Hordichuk off with his left arm and Hordichuk slides under it and then lands an over-the-top right, following it up with another that might have landed as well. They circle and Hordichuk mixes in an uppercut. Hordichuk has Barnaby awkwardly against the boards again and they slide over to the Preds' bench. They continue to wrestle around and Barnaby attempts a noogie on to the back of Hordichuk's head. Barnaby lands a couple of short rights and Hordichuk misses with a big right. Hordichuk then throws another big right that might have gotten the back of Barnaby's head. Barnaby, skating backwards, loses his balance and falls.

Ballard crashes pretty hard, gets up and goes right for Witt. They quickly drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other. Witt gets in a left, and Ballard ducks to avoid more. Witt's able to land a couple of more lefts as Ballard loses his balance and pulls Witt to the ice. Other Penalties: Witt received a slashing and a cross checking.
