Baron shoves Mallette into the boards after the whistle blows and the two end up dropping the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and exchange simultaneous right hands: Baron's shot just misses the mark, but Mallette's punch connects flush and sends Baron straight to the ice. Mallette gets in another right while Baron is down, but the linesmen are right there to break things up. Baron is slow to get up and is eventually escorted to the locker room with the help of his teammates. He is also sporting a bloody face due to a cut above his left eye. Other Penalties: Mallette received a misconduct.

There's a scrum near the penalty boxes and everyone's trying to get some words in. Murray grabs Odger's stick and throws it, Tucker is off to the side with McCleary trying to goad him into a fight. Thornton and Odgers finally break away and drop the gloves and grab onto each other. They each get position and then get the rights going. Piston-like action. Nine or ten from each, and then Thornton follows up with a couple of uppercuts. Thornton has a reach advantage and it appeared as though his punches are landed better. They start to wrestle near the boards and Thornton takes Odgers down. Odgers skates away bleeding around his left eye.

Right off of a faceoff they drop the gloves and Ray is skating towards Brown, and they're going quickly into a corner. They grab on and Brown immediately throws three rights which land, but have no effect on Ray. Ray then throws a big right that knocks Brown down. Ray throws a couple of shots while being pulled down onto Brown and they wind up on the ice, against the boards.

They come together and Grimson immediately starts throwing haymakers. He is connecting with hard rights to the side of Murray's head as Murray bends over trying to get away from Grimson's long reach. Murray tries to throw a few weak rights that can't land, while Grimson continues tagging him on the side of the head, which by now has no helmet. After tying up, Grimson unleashes a vicious right cross but Murray actually counters with a good little jab. Grimson lands another right or two before they twist to the ice ending a one-sided fight. Other Penalties: Grimson received an instigator and misconduct.

Tucker and Thomas push behind the boards. Tucker drops his gloves first and throws the first punch. He lands two or three rights until Thomas responds with two of his own. They go toe-to-toe for a few seconds with each guy landing three punches. Thomas lands a good one that hurt Tucker a bit and makes him back off a bit. They grapple. Thomas throws a few, with one possibly glancing. Tucker then gets one in that knocks Stumpy's helmet off. Thomas lands a nice right in-close and Tucker throws three wild punches, with the last one forcing himself off-balance and Thomas spins him to the ice. The linemen come in and break them up.
