Mayers should have gotten 5 fisticuffs major. The hip check was good. The hip check when done well is safer than a shoulder for both players-imo.

The NHL has got to rid the game of the chicken-crap "fight" after a good, clean hit. 10 mins off the ice for the instigator in situations like these.

This is close tilt but EDGE goes to Mayers,
Hes winner for better control and he landed 2-3 as Sarich landed 0(missing narrowly his last shot before went to the ice).

I love these whiners saying Sarich got jumped. Mayers went after him and grabbed him. When Sarich fell he let him get back up before there were any punches thrown. LOL quit your whining because your team can't win and Sarich lost the fight!!

But I respectfully disagree with those who say NHL needs to clean up these fights after good hits. NHL policy has lead to most of this type of stuff.Let the boys police themselves and over time I believe the "jumping" will decrease.

Awesome! I'm starting to give any fight that I see a Flame get his ass kicked in a 10. So, in saying that, I think I'll be handing out a lot of 10's this year when it comes to Flames games. A couple of other notes, shocking to see a Flamer fight with his helmet and shield welded on. How can any moron give this fight to Sarich when he tried to hang on like a fat kid would to a cookie without throwing a punch?
I will give Sarich credit for one thing, at least he didn't try and prove his manhood by sucker punching any defenseless cab drivers after the game.....at least not that we know of anyways. Then again, he is a classless Flamer so anything is possible. Talk about an organization in a free fall. I love it!

Never liked Sarich because he is a punk. Which means everytime he gets owned it's to my viewing pleasure....
