Nice one. Never expected a player like Brule to drop 'em, but it seems he can handle himself pretty well. He didn't try to hang on and didn't turrtle under pressure. He took some big shots and stayed in and fired back. Props to the kid. Hansen takes it in a good scrap.

This was one of the best fights so far this preseason. Brule threw more, but Hansen landed the better shots. I could see a draw or even a Brule "W" but I gave the edge to Hansen.

Great bout!... I'm seeing a draw, both guys were in it to win it.

Wow, didn't know Hansen had this in him. Slight edge to him.

Excellent fight from 2 guys you weren't expecting it from. Hansen with the win and the broken fingers.

Pretty good tilt. I guess I'm not as surprised as everyone else to see Brule in some fisticuffs. Although not known as a fighter when he played here in Vancouver with the Giants, as he played with guys like Lucic and Tristan Grant among others who took care of that kind of thing, he was always very feisty and would drop them from time to time. Although most of his punches came up short, he definitley wasn't afraid to throw them wildly. Decision to Hansen based on the fact that most of Brule's punches didn't connect and Hansen ended up breaking his hand on Brule's face. Still love watching guys drop the lids and square off.

Good fight from two who are not known for dropping the gloves much.

Newsflash: Pat Quinn puts Stortini and MacIntyre on waivers.
Quinn was quick to note that he wants hockey players that can play hockey and know how to fight when called upon.
Brule is his new "go-to guy".
Atta-boy, Gilbert!!!!!!!!!

Some of today's heavyweights should watch this fight and take some notes. Notes like:

don't bearhug (this one is for Brashear)

don't grab on with one hand and then try and strech your head as far as possible the opposite direction so that you don't get hit while jabbing with the same hand you're holding your opponent with.

don't throw a punch every 20-30 seconds.

Edge Hansen.

Great light-weight tilt!

The Dane [opped Brule with a couple of solid ones and Brule had to leave for repairs.

Hansen is a guy doing everything he has to do to make the team. You have to like what you have seen from him in the preseason.

A great fight for Jannik there, both were throwing bombs, Hansen with the decision. To bad he busted his hand on Brule's head. Out 6 - 8 weeks
