Great fight Scott with way too much reach able to keep Rechlicz swinging at air. On the other hand Everything Scott threw seemed not to faze Rechlicz at all. So kind of a draw really. In boxing a win for Scott, but in hockeyfighting I would say a draw.

Posted by steeldragon on March 26, 2009 at 12:07 AM

nothing very impressive from either guy.

Posted by Bruins29 on March 26, 2009 at 11:08 AM

Nothing better than two minor league animals tearing each other apart during a late season call-up! Draw.

Posted by cecil127 on March 25, 2009 at 11:40 PM

scott just couldnt land the finishing blow. for rechliczs' effort ill call it a draw.

Posted by mcb789 on March 25, 2009 at 10:56 PM

clear win for rechlicz in this fight. rechlicz now has 3 fights this season with 3 wins.

Posted by pepsigenerate on March 26, 2009 at 12:48 AM

scott with the win here by one point. smaller tough guys I think could drop this 6ft 7 guy in a long bout. but doesn,t have a prayer with the heavyweights.

Posted by capsfloors on March 26, 2009 at 02:15 PM

Scott the win here. Now we know why he wasnt dressed against the Rangers the other night. Orr would have crushed him! His coach kept him safe in the locker room. HAHAHAHAHA!

Posted by nikcanada on March 26, 2009 at 12:43 AM

Scott clearly won the fight with his size and reach. Rechlicz didn't know how to counter Scott and simply looked clumsy.

Posted by Leafs2006 on March 26, 2009 at 04:30 PM

A hand full of hair? This Howie announcer for the islanders and his leg humper color man are right up there with Jack Edwards and Andy " concussion" Brickley. I wish Boogy was in the lineup tonight, if he was Brendan Shiit wouldnt have jumped that kid Sheppard. But thats the Islander/Witt mentality, your team sux, jump all you can. Im sure John Tavares is getting excited to join the Islanders.....whatta joke.....Do yourself a favor JT......talk to your agent, so youre not part of this asswipe organization...known as the Islanders.

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 26, 2009 at 06:20 PM

That's a classic example of a smart, patient fighter using his size, and reach to dominate his opponent. Now... who is this guy?

Posted by kryon24 on March 26, 2009 at 09:51 AM

Where was this goof Scott the other night when Orr was feeding Nolan some rights? I give it to Scott because he landed the only punches once he got going. Punches don't seem to have the same power as Boogies (even though they are the same stature). If Boogie would have connected on Wreckers face like Scott's couple did, Wrecker would have been in the same bed that the fridge was in a while back with Al Arbour changing his diapers and feeding thru a straw. Good to see them go toe to toe and as I said before no hugging.

Posted by OriginalSix on August 24, 2010 at 03:39 PM

Scott landed 4 flush rights that had some power behind 'em. WIN Scott.

Posted by Bad Dawg on March 26, 2009 at 11:06 AM

1 sided, no contest, Scott the clear winner. You got to wonder if mcb and mikebflorida are related because of their "brain dead" comments, oh well the Hockey world can always use more losers!!!

Posted by mikebflorida on March 26, 2009 at 09:40 AM

Hooray, another big, slow goof who can't skate for the Minnesota Wild. At least he can fight but at 6'8 250+ pounds, he certainly should be able to since almost no one can reach him.

Posted by oilersfansylvan on March 26, 2009 at 08:32 PM

Reminds me of McClelland fighting Peplinski....gotta give Joel credit thats a long arm......

Posted by b.t.wilson on March 27, 2009 at 08:38 AM

Little Parros loses to the tree. Called it a 5, the poor guy couldn't lose the lid or seem to go-go gadget his arm out far enough to reach Scott.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on March 26, 2009 at 11:15 AM

Scott owned that fight.

Posted by staceyb on March 26, 2009 at 06:00 AM

I still can't figure why Lemaire didn't dress Scott and Boogaard the night before to skate against the Rangers. Scott has the wing span of a whooping crane.

Posted by bruins rule on March 26, 2009 at 07:53 AM

scott with the win in this fight.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on March 26, 2009 at 11:51 AM

all scott in this fight......rechlicz did nothing

Posted by captjameson on March 25, 2009 at 11:31 PM

what's in the water in minnesota? 2 monsters on the same team. scott's reach was too much for rechlicz to overcome

Posted by GSP09 on March 26, 2009 at 07:38 PM

Scott is so tall. big advantage in hockey fights. clear winner

Posted by crosscheck52 on March 26, 2009 at 06:16 AM

Rechlicz tried to stay in the fight, but Scott was just too big and too good on this evening.

Posted by carolyn1946 on March 26, 2009 at 08:05 AM

Scott is clear winner!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by clownbaby on March 26, 2009 at 01:02 AM

It was alright, nothing special but it was nice to see a Wild player showing some spunk! They could use any excitement at all to show they still have a pulse.

Posted by Rockhound6165 on March 26, 2009 at 10:57 AM

Decent. Scott landed some good blows. If I were scoring it like a boxing match, I'd score it 10-9 Scott.

Posted by tpberger on March 28, 2009 at 06:21 AM

Scott with a clear win.

Posted by moneybags on March 26, 2009 at 01:59 AM

minny looks like they are trying to develop a basketball team

Posted by MNwild8 on March 25, 2009 at 11:38 PM

Great win for Scott. Can't wait to see more from here in seasons to come.

Posted by Canadiens100 on March 26, 2009 at 08:23 AM

Scott dominated from start to finish. I thought Rechlicz was a fighter? According to a select few on this site he is. He's lost his last 2 fights by a wide margin.

Posted by paca0502 on March 26, 2009 at 11:56 AM

For those of you wondering, he was a healthy scratch against the Rangers in favor of Foster, and Boogie is out because of injury.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 04, 2013 at 02:02 AM

Scott hit rechlicz with some bombs

Posted by huddles on March 25, 2009 at 11:27 PM

mcb what do you smoke clear win for scott you homer, signed a fan of neither team

Posted by Jellyczar on March 26, 2009 at 07:44 AM

Rechlicz was game but way overmatched...

Posted by Buckster on March 26, 2009 at 10:51 AM

mcb, you should move to France where you would be immediately employed as a figure skating judge, calling you a moron would be an upgrade to your current mental capabilities. Easy win Scott.

Posted by ETR on March 26, 2009 at 11:27 AM

That one by Scott at about the :37 mark look like it staggered Rechlicz. Big win for Scott, he's a big boy....

Posted by Jabroni305 on March 30, 2009 at 11:21 PM

Good old fashion slug fest!

Posted by kalismkkr on March 26, 2009 at 08:15 PM

Scott found someone that fights at his speed to use his size and get the win.

Posted by clydefrog on March 26, 2009 at 09:26 AM

where was this ahole when Orr was beatin on Nolan?

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on March 25, 2009 at 11:06 PM

Scott dominated, Rechlicz won r u serious? maybe all that losing has gone to your brain

Posted by MajorGroove on March 28, 2009 at 03:11 PM

Fight of the week baby! Good stuff but Recher just couldn't get over Scott's size.

Posted by Wild_Deere on March 26, 2009 at 04:53 PM

Scott dominated him. Pretty lethargic fight. Scott undoubtbly a true giant, but terribly slow.

Posted by top 10 on March 26, 2009 at 02:32 AM

Scott controlled it all

Posted by jbaker3924 on March 26, 2009 at 07:25 AM

Win Scott.

Posted by eddieshore on March 26, 2009 at 04:39 PM

Not really fair, Rechlicz had to fight both Scott and his own helmet. Scott won this fight and you could see the frustration on Rechlicz's face because no matter what he did, his arms weren't long enough.

Posted by EDDUBBS on March 26, 2009 at 09:57 PM

Joel got wrecked and his is lucky Scott didn't catch him straight on! Clearly he was overmatched - Scott dominates using his size and reach to his advantage.

Posted by a99hammer on March 29, 2009 at 01:01 PM

sooo talll and the helmet got in the way

Posted by yashin79 on March 26, 2009 at 03:42 PM

John Tavares!!!

Posted by Oil Can Henry on March 26, 2009 at 01:24 PM

Easy win for Scott and it didn't even look like he was trying all-that hard. Rechlicz was in over his head - only thing he did right was not getting knocked-out.

Posted by kitcarnut on March 26, 2009 at 03:56 AM

Scott painted the wrecker, hmmm looks like back to the minors joel.

Posted by wildguy12 on March 26, 2009 at 12:48 AM

Scott took care of Rechlicz... hands down.

Posted by PitbullX on March 25, 2009 at 11:43 PM

Couple good shots land but nothing too damaging. Scott with an edge.

Posted by chad420 on March 25, 2009 at 11:55 PM

win by the much bigger man scott...a 6...good balls JR

Posted by ramses22 on March 26, 2009 at 11:26 PM

Scott held him out of range and pounded on him.

Posted by Rex from MN on March 26, 2009 at 11:08 AM

Lucky for Wreck and Witt that Boogie wasn't playing. Scott fights like Boogie, but doesn't pack the same punch, again luckily for Wreck. Scott also seemed like he didn't want to hurt him. Really lucky for Witt that he won't see Boogie for a while. And What was Jacques thinking by not dressing Boogie against the Rangers/Orr???

Posted by nthawk41 on April 08, 2009 at 11:56 AM

All Scott from the get-go.

Posted by fnal22 on March 26, 2009 at 09:09 AM

Scott was just too big for Rechlicz

Posted by gmr133 on March 27, 2009 at 10:06 AM

Do the Islanders have anybody who can do anything?

Posted by Pokeysaurus on March 26, 2009 at 03:03 PM

Scott might not be much of a hockey player, but man, he's a mauler...

Posted by midknight on April 13, 2009 at 06:11 PM

Man scott is MONSTER!!! what a reach too. totally dominates Rechlicz. If scott keeps up his fighting boogaard wont have much ice time anymore

Posted by BoogeyRocks on March 31, 2009 at 01:50 PM

Scott in a runaway....

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on March 26, 2009 at 10:02 PM

Wrecker got beat up here. I wonder who is was he kept looking back at. Maybe he was just trying to see where he could escape. Looks like Boogey has taught Scott a thing or two about using his size to his advantage.

Posted by Boogeyman2383 on March 26, 2009 at 06:34 AM

Scott pretty much controlled the fight from start to finish.

Posted by TheAsianator on March 26, 2009 at 04:37 PM

Scott controlled the whole fight

Posted by Wild24 on March 26, 2009 at 04:52 PM

Thata boy Scott!

Domination by John Scott
