Garnet Exelby vs Blake Comeau

You fight to stick up for a teammate or to give your team an advantage. Exelby lost his cool and put his team at a disadvantage. Having said that Comeau has to drop the mitts there or cross check the guy or something. Exactly where does Exelby have to put his stick to get Comeau to go? I could see Comeau holding back if it was the playoffs and holding back helps his team- but this?

exelby needs to pick his spots better if he's going to stay in the nhl. comeau chipped him a bit, no big deal. exelby totally overreacted, comeau baited him like a pro and drew the penalty.

well if u ask me that was a little bit of dirty playing by Exelby...
it was a clean hit. i can understand tripping him after. and even challanging him . but what he did with the stick. and sucker punching him. was not called for.
i think that was a dick move.......

i was at the game.

comeau put a hit on exelby then the puck went to the other side of the ice. comeau started to skate away and exelby put his stick in between comeaus legs and pulled up. Comeau grabbed his jewels and went down but only for a second. He ignored it all and tried to get into the play. Exelby followed him and grabbed him with gloves dropped and punched him.

it was the cheapest **** ive ever seen. Comeau had no idea what was going on, Exelby was just being a woman and throwing a fit. this shouldnt even be a fight and exelby should be shot.

just bec. somebody challenged you,it does NOT mean you have to fight. there's a SMART fight and a STUPID fight . it is not cowardice if you decline a fight . nothing that would make you feel embarrased about, even to your mother.

Cormeau has no reason to fight. why should he drop his gloves and get beat by someone for throwing a clean, not even hard hit. that doesnt make him a p*ssy. if you've ever played any sort of hockey where fighting is allowed you would know that people decline challenges all the time. i'd expect a lengthy suspension for exelby probly most of the rest of the season for the sucker punch.
