Comments: Keith Ballard flips Barret Jackman upside down with a hip check along the boards. Brewer goes right after Ballard, grabbing ahold of him and pushing him from behind. Boynton skates over and grabs Brewer. They drop the gloves and Boynton throws two quick rights. Brewer answers with a right. They spin and around and exchange rights until Boynton loses his balance and falls to the ice. Boynton tries to stand up and Brewer misses with a right, causing him to fall down. Boynton falls on top of him and gets in a short right just as the linesmen are jumping on top of them. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.

Eric Brewer vs Nick Boynton

Ballrd puts a big hit on Jackman, and Brewer takes exception by dropping his gloves, going after Ballard. Boynton jumps in, immediately grabbing ahold of Brewer, and they begin to scrap. Boynton starts off with a few overhand rights, while Brewer responds with a couple rights of his own. One of Brewer's rights knocks Boynton off balance, falling to the ice, but he gets right back up. As soon as Boynton gets up, Brewer falls to the ice. Boynton gets on top of him, managing to get in a few more rights before the linesmen could separate the two.

Loose the visor Boynton!! Some things never change, i.e., Nicky Boy is a cheap shot artist and I'm so glad the Bruins got rid of him...he's slow and can't get back on D and he sure as hell can't fight!! I love how he jumps right in on Brewer just a swinging...did I mention take off the visor Nicky Boy...but the good news is that Brewer still kicked his ass!! It's so good to not have to watch him get rocked and used and abused wearing the spoked B!!

A couple punches were landed by both man.
A good one by Boynton(his first one).
Brewer replied with couple ones.
He knocked Boynton to his knees with one.
But Boynton gets up immediately.
The fight continue, of course!
Boynton gets on top of Brewer and he landed one, but not a great one.
It hits to the neck of Brewer.
A draw in my paper.

As someone mentioned ealier, this fight did nearly bring a tear to the eye because of its classic nature....

But the best part about this fight was that referees gave both players even penalties and the game went on as it should. In today's game, most referees would have dished out extra penalties to Brewer and effectively end the game. Great stuff.

Finally, Pang is a ***.....He says that Ballard used "discipline" by not getting into an altercation because of the game situation....when I grew up, discipline WAS the fight, not the avoidance of a fight.
