Jody Shelley vs Darcy Hordichuk

Vokoun gloves a wrist shot when Shea Weber-with Shelley ahead of him- crash the net. Shelley bumps Vokoun and sending him to the ice. Shea Weber immediately takes action as he attempts a right arm headlock on Shelley which causes his helmet to come off. Shelley then unloads with a right punch that corks Weber on the button-which drops him backwards to the ice. This when Hordichuk gets involved-skating in fast to grab Shelley. As they quickly grapple, Hordi goes down on his left knee and quickly gets back up. Hordi attempts a ineffective left punch. Shelley has Darcys jersey pulled half way up around his head. Hordi throws a short blind ineffective right punch. Shelley extends Hordi to arms length and unloads with 1 right punch-hitting top of Hordichuks helmet. This when Hordichuk slips and falls backwards. Shelley throws another right as Darcy is falling backward, but missing and Darcy drags Shelley down to the ice with him. Both fighters try to scramble back to their feet and the refs break it up.

Entertaining scrum happening with teammates surrounding this main event, but no punches being thrown.

Shelley gets the narrow win. I wish this fight would have lasted longer, as it had the ingredients for a more exciting tilt.
