This was part of a line brawl. Terrible camera work obscures a lot of this, but from what you can see, McIntyre has a hawk tied up behind the net only to have Chelios come over and get involved. Chelios does land a dandy sucker punch on McIntyre thanks to the linesmen trying to break things up.
