The fight wasn't started because because of McCormick getting tripped up and then Chaput tripping over him like the announcers state. In front of the Montreal bench McCormick basically tossed a Canadiens players stick into their bench. While he was skating away a Canadiens player seated on the bench tomahawked him with their stick. He turned around to confront. Chaput probably still had a burr from his fall and they danced. Liked Chaput initial aggression but he was dominated by a smaller fighter (McCormick seems to give up more than the 1" on paper).

Chaput was fine at the start but McCormick finished him with savage uppercuts.

I give it a draw and a 1... McCormick didn't land a single punch while both players were standing. I don't give credit for punches thrown when one player is on a knee
