Win Gazdic!! I like the rookie, but Gaz is clearly a different level of Fighter... every time I hear rumors of a Bruins-Oilers trade, I say my little prayer that Gazdic is included, so our 4th line can again be relevant as it was with Thornton roaming the wing.. ahhh I guy can wish, can't he?!

I want to know who is giving this fight to delauries and why they are not banned from this sight, after Gazdics second right the man is stunned and hangs on from there, easy win Gazdic

No point in voting in a Gazdic fight, guys on this site vote for Gazdic just because its Gazdic

Posted by Humper on January 30, 2015 at 11:47 AM

Gazdic with the win, as it ought to be. Not a crushing defeat for Deslauriers, but a loss just the same.

You know what im glad Gazdic is still in the league but fuck em spot picking ducking heavyweight can kiss my ass even stortini went with boogaard he wont have my respect til he nuts up against scott and shuts his fuckin mouth win for my big GazDIC

Posted by bilderberg on January 30, 2015 at 11:38 PM

Gazdic was as stunned by the last punch as much, if not more, than Deslauriers was in the middle of the fight. This replay doesn't have the right angle and cuts right at the punch. Gazdic was done after that punch, and stopped dead. Still a draw, but the video misses the punch almost completely.

Deslauriers looked like he was scared shitless the entire fight. And he fought like it...he fought not to get killed. Is there any way Gazdic could go to the Hawks? How about Sharpie for Gazdic? hehe Just kidding. Sort of.

Close but the edge goes to Gazdic.

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 02, 2015 at 04:16 AM

Delauriers fearlessly does the best that he can in a decisive loss to a genuine heavy who continues to sport an increasingly "Animal from the Muppet show" coiffe

Posted by kkdowning on February 02, 2015 at 11:20 AM

Hooray, Gazdic is back. Good on ND for taking the challenge and landing an early shot, but after that Gazdic controlled the fight

Posted by DARCY T on January 31, 2015 at 04:47 AM

i have to admit i have changed my opinion on deslauriers since beginning of the season.he's tough.i'd like to have this guy on my team...i think at least a couple of gazdic's rights landed...edge gazdic

Love Deslauriers heart to go after Gaz. Nick held his own, but Gaz owned the fight. Two good guys!

Posted by mr. puttzo on January 30, 2015 at 10:03 AM

Deslauriers is listed at 187lbs. seems kind of light in the loafers to be taking on Gazdic. Where was Stewart?

Posted by callum on January 30, 2015 at 09:12 PM

Luke Gazdic looks the part. A real throwback. Like Tony Twist and a few others, Gazdic looks happiest when pummelling an opponent. Scariest too. Props to Deslauriers for the hit and standing up in the face of true danger.

I hate the visor, but at least they both had them, so no disadvantage there. It probably saved Deslauriers a broken face, as Gazdic landed some rights square on the shield. I'm really impressed with Deslauriers toughness, fighting ability and willingness to throw em'. The kid has a definite mean streak. That being stated, Gazdic is just a complete beast, and way too much for this kid any day of the week. Nice try kid, but you're lucky you didn't get hurt messing with a top 5 fighter in the league.

Posted by bigmike53 on January 30, 2015 at 12:15 AM

Deslauriers is a tough customer and he does a respectable job here. Both guys land some big shots but Gazdic is a beast. He gets the nod over a game but outgunned Deslauriers.

Posted by doobi1 on January 30, 2015 at 12:11 AM

Kudos ro Deslauriers fo taking on the LUCA. He put the first shot in, and nailed it. BUT, the look on his face in the penalty box, tells it all. Gadzic the win in this one.

W for Da Gaz...

Posted by gsrae on January 30, 2015 at 09:40 AM

Ok fight. Both landed a few but Gazdic got better shots in. Win to Gaz

Posted by Miss_the_aud13 on January 31, 2015 at 03:45 PM

the win to Gazdic, but not much of a fight; neither landed great shots or took much damage.

Posted by donkinbuck on January 30, 2015 at 07:39 AM

Gazdic domination!!

Posted by von_swine on January 30, 2015 at 02:44 AM

the two HW (hopefuls) of the future 'try' to hurt each other after a refreshing start to a fight by the guy who got hit, and not by one of his teammates.. I can't give a draw here when the dude in white is grabbing the shorts lookin for a way out.. Gadzooks/#20 FTW

Posted by Canner on January 30, 2015 at 11:47 PM

Awesome comments here, as entertaining as the fight. Frenchie (why not Pepsi?? LOL) does admirably against Gazoo. I too hope the Bs somehow pluck him from the Oil. What's interesting, as a derivative point, is that a guy I like and have been following for a few years now (mostly in the A), Kevan Miller, took a close dec'n from Deslauriers earlier in the season, although separated his shoulder in the process. With a few more pounds and a fully recovered shoulder, Miller could be a fun pug to watch over the next few years.

gazdic the win....

Posted by The Mad House on January 30, 2015 at 12:02 AM

Deslauriers is a tough kid.. But he's not quite on Gazdic's level Which is an elite level Which means he should have played more than 16 games this year so far.. I know I complain about the what the NHL is becoming And I hope you guys get where I'm coming from.. This is not the hockey we know and love!! There's another one of my rants.. Sorry fellas "That visors gotta hurt on the hands" Ohhhh color guy, don't we know it Another dumb, unnecessary rule

Posted by adulane62 on February 01, 2015 at 01:00 AM

Gazdic hands down! This guy should be playing for the Avs! I like our tough guy bordy, but he is always injured and punks are taking liberties with our players. No wonder we are stuck at the bottom of the conference. Joe Sakic, please get Gazdic now! Thanks.

Let's rock n roll. W for Luke.

Posted by EK65 on January 30, 2015 at 11:48 PM

Our probable "Rookie (Fighter) Of The Year" takes on his first elite. He had a respectable performance. Although the fight was a Gazdic win. A very respectable season for the probable heir to the Sabres tough guy throne. Gazdic & 5 @ Mr.Puttzo I think that weight number is outdated.. (I hope it is)

Posted by sedinfan on January 30, 2015 at 12:24 AM

When I saw the names, I thought there might be a fatality, but despite losing, Deslauriers hung in there OK.

Posted by glovedropper08 on January 30, 2015 at 01:34 AM

Deslauriers can throw them. Been very impressed with this kid. He caught gazdic with a couple early on, and traded them with one of the best in today's game. Gazdic with the slight edge, but Deslauriers should keep chucking them.. Gives the Sabres fans something to cheer about at least.

LG with the close win but neither player really landed much. I expected more out of LG but maybe he wasn't used to someone wearing a visor like himself

Posted by yankees67 on January 31, 2015 at 10:21 PM

ND is a tough kid, but that one right hammer reminded him who was boss. Win Luke

Posted by Great Murray on January 30, 2015 at 09:53 PM

Yikes...these two threw some real serious bombs. Gazdic lands the better shot and Frenchie tries for a tie up grabbing the leg. Until he ate that last right he was right there. Gazdic 5

Posted by bbout2c on January 30, 2015 at 09:10 AM

luke all the way, either guy would be a good choice for the n.y marshmellows , I mean rangers!

Posted by kingpaolo on January 30, 2015 at 05:17 PM

Gaz with the ez win

Posted by English_Bruin on January 30, 2015 at 11:29 AM

Easy win for Gazdic, the other dude was holding on for dear life and look terrified, hardly surprisng really, Gazdic is a tough SOB

Posted by kinga101 on January 30, 2015 at 01:17 PM

Thought this would be better than it turned out to be. Edge to Gazdic. It's been a very disappointing year for heavyweight bouts this year. I'm afraid that this might be the beginning of the end for the super heavies who aren't overly talented at anything else.

Posted by rocky 1 on January 30, 2015 at 01:36 PM

Gazdic delivering an easy win against Delauriers at the end of his shift.Gazdic has to start these things at the start of his shift so he has the wind to go the distance.Although it was Deslaurier landing the lumber on the back of Gazdics leg.For what ever Reason Stewart would not fight. That is the one we wanted to see!

Posted by mudman55 on January 30, 2015 at 12:48 PM

Yawn. 2 horrible teams in a horrible game featuring a horrible fight. I gave it Gazdic because we didn't have an option to select the Loser as "Us".

Posted by Joe Rock on January 31, 2015 at 10:47 AM

Easy win Gazdic
