Not a single fan sitting down in the whole arena. Yeah! They should probably eliminate that kind of stuff. Great scrap by the C's

Posted by Bosoxshute on December 12, 2014 at 07:00 AM

Just Incase you missed it Billy Jack you faggot, Ladd had a visor on too.

Posted by PUTTEG on December 12, 2014 at 02:23 PM

@HeavyEarly. I guess most players in the NHL kinda whipped D. Murray´s ass as well. Cause he´s just another swede! Listen grandpa - the 70s just called and wanted you back.

What the... Where did this come from, Landeskog? I'm shocked, but not as shocked as Ladder. Ladder is usually pretty good when it comes to fisticuffs But Landeskog tuned him in. Ladd landed a couple big shots but there was no quit in the Avs captain Always good to see a couple captains scrappin

Posted by Amerkfan8 on December 13, 2014 at 09:08 PM

Wow what a scrap!! By 2 unlikely combatants too. Landeskog gets the win, but it was great to see.

Posted by LuxYale on December 12, 2014 at 01:32 PM

Ladd with the helmet on.

Posted by Biggus on December 12, 2014 at 09:18 AM

Landeskog starts out strong and Ladd tries to go toe to toe and actually lands a couple, but finds it difficult to be taking punches while landing on a helmet/shield. Would have been more interesting if Landeskog's lid came off early as well. Might have ended up with an old fashioned punch in the face contest. Great showing by both. Landeskog and a 7.

Posted by gmorgan23 on December 11, 2014 at 11:02 PM

Good tilt between captains. Looked like Landeskog landed more and cleaner. Ladd got some good shots in as well. Landeskog wins by Decision.

Posted by FHgrad99 on December 20, 2014 at 03:29 AM

Several things here. 1. Who would have guessed that these two were going to drop them? 2. Who would have guessed that it would be an entertaining fight if they did? 3. Who would have guessed that a non-fighter like Landeskog would deliver a one-sided beat-down to another non-fighter in Ladd?

Surprised with landeskog great fight im impressed

Posted by jinxproof on December 12, 2014 at 12:36 AM

Landy stood up and finally acted like he deserves the C. HUGE fight for the Avs. Hopefully this finally ignites them.

Posted by meatface on January 13, 2015 at 02:06 PM

Ladd never stood a chance

Posted by Clowes ABeast29 on December 12, 2014 at 10:29 PM

Damn landy let lose holy shit Wasn't it him who was pushed around and punched and helmet ripped off and did nothing awhile ago? I'm pretty sure it was an av could be mistaken just can't remember who was involved

Posted by kevinbe on December 12, 2014 at 02:11 AM

A 7?

Posted by rocky 1 on December 12, 2014 at 02:48 AM

Good tilt with edge to Landeskog!

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on December 12, 2014 at 01:46 AM

whoa, great surprise.

Posted by mudman55 on December 12, 2014 at 08:51 AM

Didn't expect that. Landeskog with a clear win, even with Ladd eventually getting his arm free.

Posted by Hilaker on December 11, 2014 at 11:44 PM

What a nice surprise! Never expected those two to have a good old fashion scrap. I give it to Landeskog. Nice bout with plenty of punches thrown.

Posted by bigmike53 on December 12, 2014 at 09:44 PM

Great high energy fight between the two team leaders. Both men do a great job here. Landeskog comes on late to get the nod IMO.

Posted by kingofalltuts on December 12, 2014 at 11:25 AM

Youth wins in this tilt. Not even close.

Posted by dallenthomas on December 11, 2014 at 11:53 PM

Landeskog gets the win just as the Avs win in the shootout.

Posted by bloodjick on December 12, 2014 at 02:58 PM

gabbe, stort gjort av kaptenen. det finns så många positiva perspektiv på det här så det krävs minst 300 tweets!

Posted by dcmac on December 13, 2014 at 08:17 AM

Big difference was that helmet coming off. Props to both athletes. No quarter given none expected. After Landeskog got the jump Ladd should have gone to the body hard and than go for the helmet removal or some uppercuts. Of course, that's easier said than done when throwing down with another first class athlete.

Posted by briggsy on December 14, 2014 at 04:54 PM

Good scrap, like to see more of this. Win Landeskog.

Posted by sedinfan on December 12, 2014 at 12:18 AM

Landeskog very impressive in this tilt. Iggy right there cheering him on. Great victory for the young captain.

Posted by FDNY20192 on December 12, 2014 at 08:45 AM

Just awesome to see two captains go at it and let em fly.... Nod to Landeskog.

Posted by relaxedriley on December 12, 2014 at 03:00 AM

Good fight. C on C, similar size. Landeskog with a clear win. Thankfully the refs didn't stop this one. Iggy seems to be having an influence on the young captain.

Posted by captainmook on December 12, 2014 at 09:32 PM

Give the win to Landeskog, but I'd love to see a rematch where he doesn't have his visor on !!! Would've been a closer fight, but Ladd was hamstrung because he didn't want to wreck his hands on his opponents shield.

Posted by EK65 on December 12, 2014 at 01:05 AM

Impressive scrap between the 2 captains Jets vs Avs play pretty entertaining games Looks like Landeskog got the win here Entertaining 7

Posted by slysi on August 09, 2015 at 06:39 PM

Ladd usually does better than that

Posted by IBatch on December 13, 2014 at 08:17 AM

Nice spirited bout...Ladd looked surprised...and ate it as a result.

Posted by GB0914 on December 13, 2014 at 09:27 PM

Visor vs. visor, clear win Landeskog.

Posted by das_mack on December 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Landeskog took it to a tough but quiet man in Ladd. Good job Kid.

Posted by DARCY T on January 10, 2015 at 07:49 AM

wow,i didnt know landeskog got this in him.finally i see something he is good at...he got the win despite ladd's advantage with his hand out of sleeve...8

Posted by francoisleroux on December 12, 2014 at 03:25 AM

Where in the H E double hockey sticks did landeskog learn that?? I'm as shocked as ladd

Posted by Jer4whlr on December 12, 2014 at 09:24 AM

Excellent fight by the young captain....Landy was in it from the get-go...Ladd did get in a couple good ones. Good to see captains go at it

Posted by boldbilly on December 12, 2014 at 08:55 AM

Wow now that was a great scrap Landeskog with the win ........once Ladd got his arm free I thought he was going to make some hay........ But Landeskog kept it going till the end

Posted by hockey450 on December 11, 2014 at 11:09 PM

Lande. All. Day. Period.

Posted by Knuckles McGhee on December 12, 2014 at 01:15 AM

Beauty. Two captains and a whole lotta fists. Landeskog sure grows on you.

Posted by nait on December 12, 2014 at 07:12 PM

Posted by plaverty on December 12, 2014 at 02:35 PM

Love seeing the captains go at it.

Posted by vrakdiver on December 13, 2014 at 03:57 PM

One of very few Swedes which can fight and he really won this one. thats for sure. Great fight by the two captains.

Posted by inspector3334 on December 12, 2014 at 02:43 PM

Nice fight, they both gave it their all. Landeskog, landed more shots, although, visors still bother me.

Posted by NahDude on December 20, 2014 at 09:18 PM

Great scrap. Really nice to see these two go, who knew Landeskog could throw em like that?

Posted by shawnrocks on December 11, 2014 at 11:57 PM

good fight kind of surprised landeskog didnt give him a second to get his arm free. but whatever both throwing hard gabriel gets the w

Posted by Great Murray on December 12, 2014 at 08:39 AM

I wouldn't have given a nickel for a Gabriel to win a fight in the NHL. Ladd's a tough cookie but he got handed a plateful here. FOY candidate with dominance by a Gabriel!

Posted by ScottyGreene on December 30, 2014 at 02:55 PM

Great fight by Landy but Ladd didn't want to injure his hands on his bucket. You can see him hold his punches/struggle to remove Landeskogs helmet several times during the fight. Unfortunately for him Landy dun' curr

Posted by MBsez on December 13, 2014 at 10:52 AM

Landy wins the fight - but far more importantly he gives the Avs a huge emotional spark in what has been a really tough season so far. And, it gets the crowd really into it. Iggy cheering him on says it all. Wait until Bordy comes back next week - the team will play much better in the next 50 games.

Posted by Old Warrior on December 12, 2014 at 11:10 AM

I'm a Jets fan and this is my Captain but he couldn't get his right arm out of his jersey until late in the fight allowing Landeskog to land some rights of his own. Decision Landeskog

Posted by wfreeman on December 12, 2014 at 03:51 PM

Good scrap. Landeskog a little stronger at this point. Ladd got a few punches in but Landeskog got a few more. Well deserved win for 92.

Posted by Uncle_Cy on January 17, 2015 at 10:44 AM

Shades of Vincent Damphousse in Landeskog's performance. The speed and accuracy of those punches. I didn't know he had it in him. Then again, I didn't know Vinny had it in him until someone finally peeved him off enough to scrap. Excellent fight, very exciting.

Posted by habscrusher on December 12, 2014 at 07:03 PM

Delicious......but getting tuned up by a guy named Gabriel, Johnny Cash coulda wrote a tune about this.

Posted by axelgl95 on December 12, 2014 at 03:09 AM

Always good to see a couple of captains go at it. Landeskog landed a few early on, and tied Ladd up pretty well. It was a nice high energy fight, with Gabe getting a pretty clear win.

Posted by daniel77 on December 13, 2014 at 04:57 AM

Good fight - clear win landeskog. Kind of impressed. But don't rum away fron lucic next time

Posted by mobilope on December 13, 2014 at 07:23 PM

OH BABY, its fights like this that make me miss JD in the broadcast both. I did not know Landeskog could throw like that. Ladd must have really put a bug up his ass and he paid for it. Great scrap.

Posted by b_eazzzy on February 27, 2015 at 08:10 AM

Great battle between Captains. Landeskog came out swinging and ended the same way.

Posted by adulane62 on December 12, 2014 at 11:32 PM

Landeskog fought 3 times as the Avs captain and he won them all! I like the fact Iggy is with the Avs now and even though this one goal losses are irritating as heck, the Avs have yet to show their best. The second half is going to be quuuiiieeet interesting. Go Avs! P.S. Don't discount Andrew Ladd, he is a hell of a fighter. He was just having a bad night that is all.

Posted by doobi1 on December 12, 2014 at 08:47 AM

Landeskog got the jump on Ladd early and threw 5 before Ladd could get straight. Once he did, he matched up, blow for blow. The beginning of the fight however, is enough to award the win to Landeskog, in an old fashioned hockey fight that was a pleasure to watch.

Posted by the kid 61 on August 05, 2015 at 09:43 AM

Great scrap, That's what leaders do, win or lose, you step up to the plate.

Posted by cfaul99 on December 12, 2014 at 05:43 AM

I'd like to see a Rangers vs Predators captains fight.

Posted by Humper on December 12, 2014 at 08:13 AM

Good old swing-for-the-fences style bout that was fun to watch. Too bad for Ladd that Landeskog connected way more.

Posted by alartemov on December 13, 2014 at 12:16 AM

Posted by grrbronco81 on December 12, 2014 at 12:53 PM

I want to know the punch count by Landeskog.

Posted by Massive Coiler on December 11, 2014 at 11:30 PM

Who doesn't love a good captain fight? I knew Ladd was a strong guy, but Landeskog is no push over. Great little fight here with the edge going to the much younger leader.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on December 20, 2014 at 01:21 AM

Landeskog pummeled Ladd with furious lefts and rights! What a dandy... and nice to see Ladd hang in there.

Posted by English_Bruin on December 12, 2014 at 01:58 PM

Hard to tell them apart but the man with the beard had a disadvantage of his jersey being loose and also no lid on. I'll give him the edge based on that as there wasnt much landing from the colorado man

Posted by LAKings on December 12, 2014 at 06:12 PM

7.3 seems awfully high for a couple of lightweights with no steam on their punches. I give it to Landeskog, with a 5.

Posted by HeavyEarly on December 12, 2014 at 08:07 AM

Whipped by a Swede? Time to rethink the whole "fighting" thing for Ladd.

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 12, 2014 at 03:34 AM

Looks like Ladd and I both underestimated Landescog but as the ever-accurate MassiveCoiler so aptly put it... "who doesn't love a good Captain fight?" I'm also with TheNatural and his sarcasm on this one... as clearly no one is interested in seeing a hockey fight

Posted by King of Goons on December 14, 2014 at 05:06 AM

I like Gabriel Landeskog, but this fight is the perfect example of why players need to remove their helmet / visor, or at least loosen their chinstrap to allow their helmet to fall off on contact. Andrew Ladd hit Landeskog with a right that might have knocked him cold if it wasn't for the helmet, and he spent half the fight trying to remove Landeskog's helmet. That being stated, Landeskog managed to get Ladd's visor off, so shame on Ladd, I guess. I'm so sick of this visor sh*t. I'm voting this fight a 1 as form of protest. Nothing against Landeskog. The NHL is becoming a fa*goty piece of sh*t.

Posted by Rantavahti on December 12, 2014 at 02:01 PM

No way did Landeskog win. He didn't land much. Neither did Ladd. But still, a draw with both connecting as much as the other.

Posted by billy jack on December 12, 2014 at 12:25 PM

ladd couldnt get the swedes face shield off so it is what it is PS bosuxshit i never said ladd never had a shield but he doesn have it glued to his head now [email protected] off

Posted by mikebflorida on December 12, 2014 at 09:24 AM

Not a focking word about Landeskog having a face shield and Ladd doesn't and you can so easily see on the replay that Ladd is spending his time trying to get his helmet/face shield off while Landeskog is throwing with no worries. Total bullsh1t.
