There was nothing wrong with Stalbergs hits. Just as I don't think there was anything wrong with Torres' hit on Seabrook. But...Of course Bieska won the fight , look at who he fought! Take the number get him back with a hit of your own. Clayboy, no where did i see Stalberg take a shoot or slap at Bieska lol. Dunno what vid you were watching. Bieska better hope he's not on the ice next game when Scotts on lol!
My Canucks got whipped big time. Don't want to sound like a homer, so it is no use commenting on Stalbergs' hits, but I think Bieksa had seen enough and did what he probably should have. That being said, I am surprised Bieksa survived without an instigator penalty.
Stalberg throws three big hits in10 seconds,
and Bieska, who was one of his victims...
decides that he's seen enough.
Side Note...I happened to catch the radio broadcast of this game,
from the Chicago affiliate, and, I have to say....
the brilliant, seamless play by play of Jim Wideman,
and the honest, insightful, colour- commentary of Troy Murray...
were, both... absolutely phenomenal.
Pumped about Vancouver this year, but Bieksa, Bieksa, Bieksa... in very poor taste. Just because you are down 7-1 and got leveled... can't call a winner when the "fight" is more of a mugging. Still, Nuckies in 5 sounds about right. Good to see some fight in the team, but not in such ways.
Very good points from people about taking runs at guys being up. Its pretty lame. But still, they were nice clean hits.
Folks, ya gotta see the whole thing before you rant about one dude jumping another dude...the 'Hawk was acting all Briere like; hacking away at another player after declining a fight. It finally got the attention of Bieksa, who he earlier declined, and he got pummeled.
