Craig finds out the hard way that Bradley is one of the league's better ''non-fighter'', fighters.

Posted by holidaysintexas on February 22, 2011 at 11:22 AM

eh...not much to see here. neither guy landed anything substantial. bradley's punches were to the top of craig's helmet...craig's to bradley's shoulder. both slip and fall to the ice. clear draw. it's amusing to see the 10 or so caps fans come out of the woodwork whenever one of their players comes close to actually winning a fight. close...but not quite.

giving matt bradley the 0ne extra point in this bout.King and Engelland would have been a fight to see.

Posted by Big_Goon on February 22, 2011 at 08:47 AM

Bradley's hit on Cooke that preceeded the fight was awesome! Engelland didn't go after Bradley for a few reasons; Cooke should have responded, Egelland is in another class, King was in the lineup and could respond in kind, plus the hit was clean regardless of the bad call. Craig was looking to impress the coach by taking on Bradley. Watching Bradley's fights he probably assumed he could use him for a punching bag like everyone else. Bradley with a clear win (I'm a Caps fan and don't get to say that often about him)...

Posted by bigpucks on February 22, 2011 at 02:50 PM

When did Bradley learn to fight? He must have watched everyone hit him in the face.

Posted by staceyb on February 22, 2011 at 05:28 AM

Bradley making out to be Joe Palooka.

' Is this the first fight Bradley ever won? '

Posted by fernben8 on February 22, 2011 at 08:09 PM

Not as one sided as I thought it would be... Bradley in control and connects one uppercut but mostly hitting Craig's helmet ++. Gave it a 5.

I never get tired of seeing a Penguin taking a beating

Posted by bubbicon on February 22, 2011 at 10:15 AM

Bradley rocks!

Posted by Chill on February 22, 2011 at 06:41 AM

He asked for it......and he got it. Win Bradley.

Posted by youthattack on February 22, 2011 at 06:39 PM

wow, matt bradley won a fight.

Posted by b.t.wilson on February 21, 2011 at 10:19 PM

good spirited fight, much better than i expected. have to give the win to bradley for the reach advantage, but craig gave him a good go. good strategy, tuck in your chin and fire. 6.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on February 21, 2011 at 11:38 PM

Good scrap. edge Bradley

Posted by bruins rule on February 22, 2011 at 07:38 AM

bradley gets the win in this fight.

Posted by m4rine77 on February 21, 2011 at 10:17 PM

bradley landed the majority and the stronger punches so he gets the clean win.

Posted by Sapunka16 on February 21, 2011 at 10:15 PM

I have Bradley landing 3 of 9 to Craig's 1 of 9, good enough for a narrow win. (On a side note, the voting shows 9 votes for Bradley, 1 for Craig, 0 draws, yet one of the reviews here has called the fight a draw. Strange.)

Posted by kinga101 on February 22, 2011 at 12:02 PM

Not a bad bout with the "improved" Bradley coming out on top, however, like most of us, would rather have seen Engelland or Rupp against Erskine or King.

Posted by tocchetblue on February 22, 2011 at 06:48 AM

Craig is a punching bag

Posted by AZfromNJ on February 22, 2011 at 12:39 AM

That's leadership....they talk, they jaw and then the Penguin who started the fight gets pounded by a .500 (at best) fighter.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 22, 2011 at 06:33 AM

If it was payback for Cook why didn't Bradley find Cook. Why didn't Engelland find Bradley thereafter...Craigs not much of a fighter. Cook tries to take out Ovie's knee...so Bradley goes after a 3rd line guy...oops...that's all the Pen's have left. Bradley could have tried Stahl but he would have got his Butt kicked and Engelland probably would have went looking for somebody.

Posted by Laytes29 on February 21, 2011 at 09:45 PM

Bradley with the win.

Posted by mulligan on February 22, 2011 at 08:39 AM

Has a Penguin won a fight in awhile? Craig started good but it quickly went south

Posted by slshbleed on February 21, 2011 at 11:24 PM

Too bad one of them isn't named Billy and one isn't named Stagger Lee.

Posted by DARCY T on February 27, 2011 at 08:13 AM

short but entertaining fight with suprising outcome. surprising to me at least.win bradley.one of his right tagged craig and he turned to defensive mode...gave it 7

Posted by b_eazzzy on February 21, 2011 at 09:50 PM

cant believe my eyes.....bradley actually winning a fight??

Posted by Caps44 on February 22, 2011 at 02:24 PM

Lots of punches thrown, but appears that only Bradley's connect. Another win for Bradley who isn't afraid to take on other teams enforcers. Too bad he didn't fight Cooke. As for the fight fan 'holidaysintexas:" I always give an honest appraisal, but agree with fans from the Bruins and others that Cooke needs to be run out of the league. I love hockey and find it very odd that the league continues to allow his instigating and acting. Godard should find a more worthy opponent than going after an Islanders player who was stupid enough to go after a class act like Pens goalie Johnson. And the most worthy opponent for Godard is Cooke.

Craig finds out just how quick you can make the trip back down the turnpike to Scranton. Brads was throwing the jackhammer in this spirited fracas. Clear win for Bradley.

Posted by DanielleinDC on February 21, 2011 at 10:38 PM

Damn, that's TWO Penguins Brads destroyed this game. I wish there were video of his hit on Matt Cooke.

Posted by Snow-ape on February 22, 2011 at 09:31 AM

Brads with the Win... I love the play that he and Hendricks have been bringing to the Caps. Gritty, full of energy, and not afraid to throw... two middleweights that throw heavyweight hits!

Posted by TommyGun29 on February 22, 2011 at 12:54 PM

Looked like Craig wanted some and he got some....more than he could chew!! Bradley clobbered him...no contest.

Posted by rockredcaps on February 21, 2011 at 09:34 PM

Close, but I give the edge to bradley

Posted by Detroit_Caps on February 21, 2011 at 10:19 PM

Craig needs to get in the weight room if he wants to fuck with Brads, not to mention more time in the AHL.

Posted by Paul_from_NoVa on February 23, 2011 at 07:31 AM

Recently called up Craig wanted to be a tough guy and, what, stick up for Matt Cooke? Great. He got his ass kicked. And the Versus commentators talked about his nobility and class in doing the right thing for Cooke (and in having all his Wilkes-Barre teammates over for turkey on Thanksgiving: okay, that WAS nice. But What? For Bradley's ultra clean, ultra violent hit on a dirtbag who deserves every hit he takes (and for which Brads got 2 minutes in the box). More and more it's come to that: retaliations for clean, hard hits. So: Bradley gives up 20 lbs. to Craig but wasted little time in smacking him to the ice. Bravo, Brads.

Posted by e19Ht on February 21, 2011 at 10:21 PM

Bradley played his a$$ off this game. Not only did he beat the crap out of Craig, he also planted Cooke on his ASS which was the highlight of my night in this game. Hey Bylsma, how did yall do against that "shaky" goalie (neuvy) the past two games?? two shutouts against you all?? yeah eat shit. CAPS!!!!

Posted by Langway on February 22, 2011 at 04:05 PM

Bradley lit him up, no question about it.

Posted by Markiz77 on February 22, 2011 at 12:55 AM

Nice tilt.. edge Bradley in a flurry of punches

Posted by Bluetiedown44 on February 23, 2011 at 11:23 PM

Bradley looked good, usually the guy who loses his helmet gets the worst of it, not this time. Nice toe to toe bout.

Posted by Irascible on February 22, 2011 at 05:37 PM

I don't know how RyanCraig even fought with Pierre blowing him the whole time. Craig stuck up for his teammate - even though it was the asshat Cooke (whiney cheapshot artist) but Bradley won this.

Posted by faceman on February 21, 2011 at 10:01 PM

Bradley brought the hits this night

Posted by russke66 on February 22, 2011 at 10:05 AM

Bradley is the definate winner. Was great to see him clock Cooke too. Too bad there is no video of that one. Would love to watch it over and over again.

Bradley is the man... he doesnt always win his fights, in fact he normally gets bloodied, but he always acts like a professional. Hes also got a nice straight right that makes a lot of tough guys cower

Posted by chad420 on February 25, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Bradley win one...handily,i might add

Posted by FHgrad99 on February 23, 2011 at 03:19 PM

It was a pretty spirited fight but Bradley landed some pretty good shots for a decisive win here.

Posted by muskokadangler on February 21, 2011 at 11:56 PM

Nice fight and I 'm calling a Bradley hands down win>>>>. to be viewed again later!!!

Posted by souldrummer on February 21, 2011 at 10:39 PM

Brads was a warrior tonight. He plastered Cooke earlier in the game and drew BS matching minors with Staal. Brads hit was clean. Even the announcers admitted almost as much. Then after Brads does his time, punk Cooke depends on one of his callups to try to get the piece of flesh. Bradley shows the kid how they do it in the NHL and wins pretty decisively although the kid did fight back hard against the assault. Bradley gets in a fight, lands his punches, knocks the guy down, and doesn't bleed? Clear win for one of the grittiest Caps.

Posted by JBox3 on February 22, 2011 at 08:54 PM

Glad I watched this again. It's closer than it originally appeared to be. Bradley came out of this one with a big (for him) W, but not by much. I really enjoyed this one. Nothing but big, angry punches. I gave it a solid 7. Oh, and even as a Pens fan, even I agree that the hit was legal, deserved, and HUGE. I was pretty surprised that Cooke jumped right up after it.
