Kevin Westgarth vs Jody Shelley

My Philly insider mentioned that he noticed that Shelley
has gradually been returning to form since about mid season,

If Westgarth keeps on fighting the legit heavies,
and holding his own...I may have to start taking him seriously.

I even subtly stopped referring to him a Hanson brother recently.

Shelley's punches were far more telling than the left-handed rabbit punches from Westy. W-Shelley.

Real good fight. Just about everything that was thrown, landed.

Momentum swings going each way...
Both landed but nothing solid.
I feel Westgarth throws and relies too much on his uppercuts,
Giving it a Draw.

I gotta go with Shelley. More damage inflicted. And when was the last time the "Other Penalties" section listed "xxxxx received a too many men on the ice penalty"?? Bench minors don't normally breed fisticuffs.

Westgarth stung Shelley with the sweater punch. Not everybody can throw the sweater punch and do damage. Also, either Shelley's punches didn't land that flush or Westgarth has no pain receptors in his head. I think Westgarth landed the more quality shots.

I'm givin it to Shelley but I do agree with someone"s post from awhile back about him losing it..... He just doesn't seem the fighter he WAS

Maybe getting punched in the head a few THOUSAND times has a little something to do with it............Just putting that out there!!!!!!! :)

good long scrap. draw, 6. it is a strange thing indeed to see a fight go 42% for one player, 41% to the other, and 16% draw. that seems to defy logic.

Westgarth taking on the Big Boys and doing well. went back and forth, both had their moments, at the end of the day, Draw

Shelly wanted it more at the start but it was an even if not spiritied bout. Obviously the kind of fight where partisans can pick and choose good moments for either combatant. In my book that means a draw.

Good old Shelley!! Westgarth with the win, how badly do this guys hands hurt. Yow!! Big stuff by both guys, Jodi wins on initiation, Westgarth wins in the fight!!

Another draw, KW with some damage shots, JS with some damage shots as well, everyone goes home in the end.

Great show by both man in this good scrap.
Both sneaked in several shots, shelley landed mostly better.
Its either draw or edge Shelley but i choice a DRAW because Westy actually landed some impressive uppercuts.

shelly looked like his punches had some snap,in a close fight gotta give it to the old guy.
