Pretty cheap stuff to start things off,
but it's always nice to see Talbot get stomped...
...twice even.

Johnson calling out the
''much too (unjustifiably) proud'' Haley,
was also great to see.

As was that freight train named Godard,
that had seen just about enough cockiness from the rookie,
and risked suspension in order to seek revenge.

But to me, the real highlight here...

(aside from noticing that Gillies wears a larger version
of his mustache sideways across his head)

,,,was that linesman out muscling, a strangely compliant, Gillies
and pushing him through a seemingly closed, side door.

Thanks ETR and Neologizer for making me laugh.

Hit man (not a hockey player) Gillies should be suspended, that minor league nitwit Haley should be suspended, and good for Godard for smoking the nitwit with rights in defense of Brent Johnson. Too bad Godard will be suspended for ten games for coming off the bench. And I am not a Pens fan.

The next time these two teams play I will be watching.

Godard big suspension and I suspect Gillies will get it as well. You can't blame one team or another and debate till the cows come home, but Gillies showed the lowest of class by attacking an injured player then mocking him from the doors. I hope he gets nailed for a good suspension as well. Haley does OK with two guys throwing punches at him, but he will probably get some games as well for engaging the goalie after he was supposed to be leaving the ice. Cant rate a fight like that with two guys on one so I just called it a draw.

To the fight...going with a Draw.
Would have liked to give the win to Johnson had it not been for his tag team partner.
I'm thinking that if Godard had really left the bench to why both benches did not clear ?
My other question is where was the Islander goalie (Mikko) when there were two guys on Haley..especially Johnson ??
Mikko should have left his net too !
Haley has succeeded to be a marked man in a short amount of time !!

wow, yeah calling this one a draw since they didn't really fight. haley just stepped out of slap shot, but not in a good way. i've never heard of the guy, and i'm sorry but i don't like him, he's a bum. i wish godard knocked him out. and it has nothing to do with the islanders, i like the team and most of their players. but this guy is an idiot. i'm glad godard did what he did, but it sucks that he'll probably get suspended for doing the right thing. i hope haley never sees another nhl game again.

Who is this Haley? straight out of the minors trying to make a name for yourself by acting like an ape? Atta boy you cocky prick. I hate the pens by the way but I hate a cocky useless hockey player even more and Mental Mike haley you are that kind of hockey player, get back to the minors infact get back to whatever inbreeding hell hole you came from you retard.

This looked like a AHL game...........Maybe the New York Islanders are a AHL team.

all of a sudden Johnson's a tough guy huh?

Godard will be suspended quite a while.

Cant even call this fight. its not a fight when its 2 guys beating on 1. BS

Personally I think Johnson would have kicked his butt. Godard gets extra points tonight for doing what needed to be done. It's a shame he didn't get there about 3 seconds earlier or Haley would have looked like Rosehill from a few weeks ago, The Islanders and their 12 fans should just throw in the towel.

Draw as it wasnt a one on one fight. Haley never had a chance, even if he faced Godard on his own.

Fair play to Haley, i like this kid.

To bad Godard didn't split Haley open for being a never has been, and cheap shots like Gillies did are why he's a never will be

What a load of crap. Big, bad Johnson and Godard double-teaming Haley. That cowardly pu55y Johnson should have taken a powder when Godard arrived, but he decided to stick around, throw cheap shots and shame himself for all to see.

W - Haley (For dealing with both Godard and that code-breaking coward Johnson in a manly fashion.)

I guess Haley is making the most of his call up by scoring a goal, beating up a bunch of Pens and taking on two guys at once. He is a Lunatic!
