Despite alot of frantic squirming, and whiffing,

they seemed to have only been able to land

one good shot each...

and Rosehill's, off the top...was better.

I called it a draw. Carolina surrenders a 22 minute a game defenseman--the team assistant captain--for a four minute a game goon, no doubt payback for the January 24 game. Then Toronto scores while Gleason was in the box and Toronto goes on to win the game. This is where Carolina misses Tom Kostopoulos to fight the Jay Rosehills of the league.

hughcares--Apparently you missed the Kotsopoulos-Bieksa fight. Who'd a thought that Kotsy would transform into Rocky Balboa in Calgary?

I don't see where the draw votes come from and especially the Gleason votes. Maybe I am going blind, but other than trying hard, I don't see where Gleason did anything other than receive.

Respectable toe-to -toe...
Fast hand speed though not overly powering.
Better outing for Rosehill after a few losses.
I see Draw.

From the original camera angle, it looks like Rosehill land the first shot flush and follows it up with Gleason's head down. Looking at a later camera angle, it seems like that first punch wasn't that good and Rosehill missed with most of the flurry of punches while Gleason's head is down. Gleason lands an uppercut and a right, but also misses with most of his punches. I have to give the edge to Gleason. Substance over style.

excellent of gleason to answer the bell, he's a good guy, and there was no doubt he wouldn't give the leafs a shot at him. he takes the lefts like a man, loses the fight, but proves his worth. 7.

Pretty good toe to toe. I don't think too many punches landed flush by either but the initial flurry by Rosehill at the beginning gives him the edge.

NARROW WIN ROsehill(cool name nice).
He landed best punches but Gleason did his comeback.
Spirited tilt.

Gleason wasn't expecting the hard lefts off the top. Rosehill had his left out front, with Gleason likely expecting a jersey grab, followed by rights....but NO...Rosehill jumped in with two quick lefts. Both landed & earn him a win. Nothing but rabbits after that....

That was a good fight. Rosehill got some good shots in early. Then they had a good exchange of rapid fire punches and then Rosehill got the takedown and the win.

Majority of Rosehill's lefts catch helmet, the rest never connect. 3 best punches of the fight are 3 rights by Gleason, the last making Rosehill go for the takedown.
