Great hit by, the usually dis-likable, Giroux.

Girlish, and needless retaliation by Neil.

Followed by Carter... not... embarrassing himself,

against a visor-wearing, tough-guy, wanna-be,

whose only redeeming pugilistic skill

seems to be the fact that he's named after a rifle.

Hey Denis Potvin, shut the hell up about the "unnecessary cheapshot," like Chris Neil is a Christian missionary out there on the ice?

I am not sure if he won, but kudos to Carter for taking on a guy that is used to fighting. He actually looked like he knew what he was doing. Who is that announcer. A shoulder to shoulder to hit is a cheap shot? The guy is about 5 foot nothing and did no damage what so ever, that announcer should be doing figure skating.

"It's not like Giroux is gonna hit anybody..."
Ummmm, he just did, about 20 seconds before you said that you moron. And stop crying about the hit, it was clean. What, you're winning by a few goals so you should stop playing hockey? Right. Get the **** outta here you old piece of ****.

man, Claude Giroux must have boinked the announcers wife or something.

Who shot Kennedy? Claude Giroux

Martin Luther King? Claude Giroux

Who discontinued the McRib? Claude Giroux

Clean hit and then the Flyers lose every scrum.

Cheap shot? How does a Canadian team find an announcer who's never seen a hockey game before? Ask Tyler Kennedy if Giroux doesn't hit anyone...
That said, Winchester wants to fight, so he grabs the first non-fighter he can find. Carter acquits himself, even has Winchester doing the "don't hit me" wave when he gets his right arm free, but doesn't land anything.
Draw.

Giroux -just another flyer missing a chromosome. Why would you put your team in a postion like that, what if jeff carter gets seriously injured.-game was over!what a chooch!

LOL! So Giroux's hit was a cheap shot because he is not someone who usually takes the body??

Slight edge to Carter in the girly slap fight.

Cheapshot? Shoulder to shoulder on a player who had the puck on his stick. Who is this clown.

As someone who attended the game right behind the Ottawa bench, I can tell you that Giroux and other players on both teams were aiming for big hits the entire game. Watching his young career, Giroux hits often throughout the course of most games. These announcers blow and I'm sure true Canadien hockey fans are a little ashamed of having such a cry baby color commentator.

DRAW.
