Comments: Another scrum ensues behind the Senators' net. Redden and Battaglia grab each other and drop the gloves. They struggle to get loose for a bit until Battaglia gets free and throws an inside uppercut that misses. Redden returns fire with a right. Redden throws three more rights before Battaglia answers with one of his own. They go back and forth with rights. They grapple and Redden throws two weak rights to Battaglia's back. Battaglia lands a snapping right and Redden bombs away with five unanswered rights. Redden then tries to get Battaglia's jersey over his head, but the linesmen are right there to step in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Mike Fisher received a hooking.

Comments: A scrum develops along the side boards and Redden and Newbury come out of it with their gloves dropped and each other having ahold of the other's jersey. Redden throws a right cross to start things off. They exchange a couple of locked-out rights. Newbury gets free and lands a short right. They get in-tight and grapple. Newbury lands a body shot. The two then hold on until the linesmen decide to intervene. Other Penalties: Joe Corvo received a tripping.

Comments: Perry hits Drake hard from behind along the boards. Drake turns around and challenges Perry who chooses to oblige. They drop the gloves and Drake unhooks his helmet just as Perry grabs ahold of him. They spin around and Perry starts things off with a right followed by a left jab. Drake responds with a right. They exchange a pair of rights and Perry keeps Drake at a distance with some jersey-jabs. Drake lands a right cross and then follows up with a five more rights while Perry tries to move away from the blows. Perry then gets Drake bent over and pounds away at him with a few rights until he decides to push him down to the ice. The linesmen move in as soon as the two hit the ground. Other Penalties: Perry received an interference.

Comments: The two drop the gloves away from the play and square off near the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights while spinning around. Parros loses his balance and falls to his knees. Thornton gets in a pair of lefts while Parros stands back up. Thornton switches hands and throws two rights. Parros tries to answer with a right hook, but misses. Parros throws two more rights at a bent over Thornton. Thornton ties Parros up and then swings away with a flurry of lefts and rights. They then go back and forth with a few more rights before falling to the ice.
