Behind the play the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They tie up and Gaustad flings his right arm behind Belak, throwing a right to the back of his head. Belak then throws four punches to the head and body of Gaustad. Belak throws another right while Gaustad charges forward and throws a couple of straight body shots. Belak lands two rights and two uppercuts with Gaustad going down to a knee during the flurry. Gaustad digs his head into Belak's chest and tries to wrestle him to the ice but Belak is able to get back on his feet and land one more uppercut before letting go of Gaustad just as the linesmen come in.

Right off of the faceoff, the two look for each other as Shelley skates over and they drop the gloves at the blueline. Shelley immediately grabs ahold of Boulerice and both players grapple for position. Shelley gets Boulerice turned around and connects with three overhand rights to the back of Boulerice's helmet. Boulerice goes down to his knees, allowing Shelley to land two more rights while Boulerice is trying to return to his feet. Shelley then lands two right crosses and gets Boulerice's jersey up and over his head. Shelley throws a short right and the linesmen quickly come in. Boulerice starts throwing lefts through the linesmen, only to be tackled to the ice by one of them.

Glumac knocks Hainsey down in front of the Columbus net. Hainsey gets up and gives Glumac a shot in retaliation. The two shove some more before dropping the gloves. They wrestle around in tight before Glumac throws an uppercut that misses the target. Glumac then tears Hainsey's helmet off while Hainsey attempts a locked-out right. The two grapple some more with Glumac attempting two locked-out overhand rights before the linesmen step in.

Right after the faceoff Gratton gives Thornton a little slash before the two drop the gloves and tie up. Gratton throws two quick rights while Thornton tries to get an arm free. Thornton does and throws five straight rights before Gratton returns fire and they go toe-to-toe. Gratton rips off Thornton's helmet and connects with two rights to the back of his head. Thornton then loses his balance and goes down to a knee before quickly getting back up. Gratton throws three rights and a body shot with Thornton throwing two rights during the flurry. Gratton throws two more rights and an uppercut before the two fall to the ice shortly after.

Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off near the blueline. Winchester switches stances multiple times before grabbing ahold of Parros and throwing a right that is blocked. They then go back and forth with wild rights, trying to keep their balance. Parros throws three rights, puts Winchester's jersey over his face, and throws another right before Winchester falls to the ice. A linesman tries to dive in, but misses, causing Parros to hold up and let the linesmen intervene.

Shanahan and Hartnell start pushing and shoving in front of the Nashville net before they drop the gloves. The two tie up and skate behind the net while Scott Walker tries his best to get involved before being restrained. Shanahan throws two overhand rights to the back of Hartnell's head before Hartnell falls to the ice.

Orr hits McGrattan with a check along the boards, causing McGrattan to skate after Orr and bump him, and the two drop the gloves at the other end of the ice soon after. The two tie up and begin to exchange right hands with McGrattan getting the better of the exchange. McGrattan then throws four long rights with two of them connecting. Orr returns fire with two rights, one of them knocking McGrattan's helmet off. The two go back and forth with rights once more before McGrattan pushes Orr into the glass and locks out his right arm. Orr throws two rights to the back of McGrattan's head just before McGrattan misses with two right crosses. McGrattan then connects with four straight rights while Orr tries to lean away from the shots, forcing the linesmen to intervene.

Simon grabs ahold of Parros and throws three quick lefts with two connecting, knocking Parros off-balance. Parros regains his composure and throws two lefts in the middle of a flurry of nine lefts to the side and back of Parros' head by Simon. Simon then throws Parros to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Behind the play, the two drop the gloves and square off near the side boards. They grab ahold of each other and start spinning around with Moen throwing a right and Stevenson answering with a few jersey-jabs. They exchange multiple wild rights while spinning around, trying to keep their balance, with Moen throwing more punches. Moen comes across with a right before the two begin to spin around and exchange punches once again. Stevenson throws a right and loses his balance, going down to a knee. Stevenson returns to his feet and connects with a left that knocks Moen off-balance. They then each throw an overhand right before Stevenson falls to the ice and the linesmen intervene.

Orr throws a hit on Petteri Nokelainen by the Rangers bench and Erskine's right there to take a run at Orr. Erskine falls to the ice, taking a little cross-check to the back from Orr while he is down. Erskine gets back to his feet, drops his gloves, and goes straight after Orr. Erskine throws three rights while Orr sheds his gloves and grabs on. One of the shots hits the back of Orr's helmet before they fall to the ice. Erskine gets a right in while Orr is down, just before the linesmen quickly jump in. Other Penalties: Erskine received an instigator, roughing and misconduct.

Petteri Nokelainen and Godard sandwich Darius Kasparaitis with a huge hit along the boards. Orr skates over and challenges Godard. They drop the gloves and skate further down ice. Godard grabs ahold of Orr and throws four rights with three of them hitting the back of Orr's helmet while Orr tries to maneuver away from the punches. Orr misses with an uppercut before throwing a flurry of three rights, one of them connecting and sending Godard quickly to the ice.

McGrattan takes a run at Brian Rafalski along the boards causing Janssen to skate over and challenge McGrattan. The two drop the gloves and square off near the side boards. They grab ahold of each other at arms length with McGrattan throwing five rights to the back of Janssen's helmet along with a jersey-jab to start things off. Janssen fires back with a jersey-jab of his own and the two exchange jabs along with a couple rights from McGrattan. They go back and forth with a mix of jabs and long rights for a short while until McGrattan lands three straight jersey-jabs to the side of Janssen's face. Janssen responds with a right and the two continue to exchange jabs and right hands. The linesmen attempt to step in but Janssen waves them off. McGrattan throws four long rights while Janssen is trying to duck away from the punches and wave off the linesmen once more. They go back and forth with more rights before Janssen switches hands and throws three lefts with one connecting. They wrestle around in tight as they go back and forth with rights once again while Janssen yells at the linesmen. Janssen throws two wide left hooks before the two tie up, allowing the linesmen to finally come in and end the long fight. Other Penalties: Janssen received an instigator and misconduct.

Godard makes contact with Cristobal Huet while circling the net and Huet goes down. Mid-zone Komisarek gives Godard a poke in the back. Godard turns around to face Komisarek and Komisarek drops his gloves and grabs ahold of Godard while Godard keeps his gloves on and doesn't let go of his stick. They're over by the boards now and Komisarek feeds Godard about six rights while Godard covers up. The linesmen then move in to stop it. Other Penalties: Komisarek received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Godard a roughing. Eric Godard did not receive a fighting major.

Malone takes a run at Souray while he plays the puck up ice, leading to both exchanging a few cross checks before they drop the gloves. The two throw simultaneous rights before Malone loses his balance and goes down to his knees. Souray connects with a right while Malone is falling. Souray then switches hands and throws some lefts to a turtled Malone before the linesmen come in.

Perrott rips Simon's helmet off and connects with four short rights to the back of Simon's head while Simon returns fire with two of his own during the exchange. The two grapple as Perrott loses his balance and goes down to his knees, allowing Simon to get his left hand free and get in two lefts on Perrott while he is down. Perrott gets back up to his feet and becomes the recipient of four more lefts from Simon. Perrott goes down to his knees and Simon gets one more left in before the linesmen intervene.
