Godard answers back with a few more good rights. Brash then throws two thundering lefts. Godard returns fire with three or four rights, connecting. Brashear gets the left going again and Godard loses his balance and falls on Brashear. Brashear leaves the ice with a cut above his left eye. |

Havlat, trying to defend himself, kicks at Gill in the groin area. Gill grabs Havlat and Neil comes in. Neil drops the gloves first and they grapple for position and then fall to the ice ending a nothing fight. Other Penalties: Neil received an instigator and misconduct; Gill a roughing. |

Brennan tries for a right and Shelley comes with an overhand right that puts him off-balance. Brennan starts throwing a slew of good uppercuts as Shelley's head is down from the off-balance punch. Shelley comes back with a right and Brennan counters with one of his own. Shelley throws about three roundhouse rights, with one landing decently. Brennan then throws a right and they both go down with Brennan on top. |

| During a scrum, these two square off and Ferguson starts immediately with two nice jabs that snapped Goren's head back. The two wrestle a bit before Ferguson lands a few more good punches. Goren lands two shots late as Ferguson gets into an awkward position, leading to Goren getting a takedown to end the fight. |

Everyone grabs a dancing partner, but only Allison and de Vries start to throw punches. de Vries catches Allison with a hard right and proceeds to pound on him. After a brief pause, de Vries starts landing at will on Allison and then wrestles him down. Other Penalties: Andy Sutton received a match penalty for attempt to injure. |

| In a blowout game, Boulton catched Lindros with a big hit and Domi skates in and throws a gloved punch at Boulton to protect his concussion-prone linemate. Exelby grabs Domi from behind allowing Boulton to unloads five heavy rights on Domi who can't defend himself. At this point, all the players pile in and the linesmen break this up. Lindros ends up on top of Exelby, but when they get up, they break away from the main scrum. Exelby wants to swing, but Lindros holds on and doesn't look interested. Exelby may have connected with some soft punches, but held up since Lindros was trying to talk him out of it. Meanwhile, Boulton gets ejected for pushing a linesman who is trying to separate him from the crowd. Wade Belak manages to get a few shots in at Boulton when he's down, after which Belak challenges the Thrashers bench. Other Penalties: Domi received an instigator and misconduct; Boulton an elbowing and game misconduct; Ron Petrovicky a double roughing; Wade Belak a roughing and misconduct. |

| As Phaneuf dumps the puck over the glass, he throws his shoulder into Guerin. Their sticks and gloves get up and the gloves come off along the boards. Phaneuf is trying to throw overhand rights, but Guerin has him tied up well. They push each other up against the glass and try to get a hand free. The fight moves away from the boards, but neither guy can get loose. Phaneuf finally gets his right hand free and throws two jabs and two over the top, landing a couple. Guerin has a small cut, which may have happened during the fight or before in the pushing and shoving. |

Gratton is hooking Leahy as they skate in the Panthers zone until Leahy turns around and they finally drop the gloves. They're tied up, but Gratton is throwing over the top, hitting Leahy's helmet. Gratton switches to the lefts and throws two short uppercuts that miss. At this point, Leahy is just hanging on while Gratton switches back to the right and lands an uppercut that sends Leahy to the ice. Other Penalties: Gratton received a hooking. |

Cairns retaliates with about eleven rights, with probably half landing, some good ones too, one knocking the helmet off of Orr. During the barrage Orr looks to have his right caught up in his jersey, but finally manages to get in tight and gets a better position on Cairns and starts landing some rights. He lands a few good ones, but then Cairns unleashes some more rights with one landing square to Orr's chin which almost put him down. Orr comes back and lands three or four rights, but they're both exhausted at this point and the linesmen come in. |

Blake ties up and tries to bury his head in Clymer's chest. Clymer begins to pump the rights into Blake's head and the linesmen jump in quick. Blake skates away with a good cut on the bridge of his nose and blood coming from his nose. Other Penalties: Blake received a slashing. |

Witt throws a right while they're on the ice and they get up and start throwing punches, Asham with the right, Witt with the left, but the linesmen have already moved in to break it up. |

Both are locked in with the left and throwing rights, although neither player can reach the other one well and the punches don't seem to land square or simply come up short. Henry tries to get loose from Bertuzzi's grip and winds up on his knees and the linesmen come in. |
