The puck gets shot up and over the glass. The players glide into the corner where Avery gives Stu Barnes a little shove. Ott comes over and shoves Avery back and they drop the gloves. They get in close and wrestle to get loose. Both guys land a couple of rights. They come out of the corner with Ott throwing some rights. Avery throws a right that misses and allows Ott to connect with one. They wrestle and Ott lands one to the back of the helmet. They struggle to get loose and Avery lands about 4-5 to the back of Ott's helmet. They wrestle some more and Ott throws a huge right that missed and the linesmen come rushing in.

The camera comes in late and shows both guys trying to get loose. The announcer says that Downey had wrestled Vandermeer to the ice before the camera had gotten to the action. Downey lands four lefts on Vandermeer. Vandermeer comes back with a right. They struggle to get loose and Vandermeer lands four consecutive lefts. They then go toe-to-toe over about 20-25 seconds. They tie up and a linesman comes in to break it up but Downey pushes him away and proceeds to land a bomb. Downey then lands about 5-6 lefts. Vandermeer comes back with a right. Downey starts spinning Vandermeer around and lands about 3-4 lefts. Vandermeer has his right cocked and lands one. Downey lands a few short rights. Vandermeer has his right cocked again and lands a shot that sends Downey off-balance and to the ice.

McGrattan lands two quick rights as Gaustad ducks underneath to avoid the punches. Gaustad comes back with a right of his own and McGrattan throws a right, knocking him off-balance. As he is going down, Gaustad tags him with three good right hands.

They drop the gloves right off the faceoff after a Havlat goal. They have a nice square off, both fighters faking like they are going to throw the first punch. McGrattan lands a quick right as Peters grabs on. Peters comes back with a right of his own and both fighters exchange multiple right hands. McGrattan lands a right and then comes back with a couple of jersey-jabs as Peters throws some rights. McGrattan continues with the jersey-jabs and lands a right causing Peters to buckle up and land a quick jersey-jab and right combination. They exchange rights once again when Peters loses his balance and falls, dragging McGrattan to the ice with him. McGrattan landed one as they were falling.

At center ice they drop the gloves a fair distance from each other and square off. They circle around a bit and grab on, each getting a hold of the other's jersey. They both miss with a right, then Stevenson gets Brennan in a head-lock as he goes down to one knee. They get back up are in close. A few punches are thrown, but both guys are on the defensive with nothing landing. They spin around and Stevenson falls to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Behind the Wild goal, Schultz nails Amonte from behind. Amonte gets up and shoves Schultz. Schultz drops his gloves and then Amonte drops his. They tie up and Amonte lands an uppercut and then throws three more rights, with two of them landing. Both guys go toe-to-toe with the rights, Schultz landing well, but Amonte throwing more. They tie up with Schultz throwing a couple of rabbit punches and then the linesmen break it up. Other Penalties: Amonte received an instigator and misconduct; Schultz a boarding.

Right off the draw in the Flames' end the gloves are off. Montador throws two quick jabs and Wanvig loses his balance. As he falls, he flips Montador to the ice and throws two to the back of Montador's head. With both guys on the ice, the linesmen break up this quick fight.

As Fernandez covers the puck, Wiemer and Ferguson begin to shove each other. A crowd gathers as Boogaard tries to get at Wiemer, but he's held back by the officials. Wiemer and Ferguson skate away from the scrum and drop the gloves. Ferguson starts with two rights, both landing, then switches to the left and lands one. Wiemer begins to throw over the top, missing with two. They spin around as Wiemer tries to get free. He does and throws three more to the back of Ferguson's helmet. Ferguson loses his balance, falls to his knees, gets back up and takes another punch to the back of the helmet as Wiemer rips it off. They both miss with a right, then Ferguson throws a left jab. Wiemer switches to his left and lands three and Ferguson falls to the ice.

Barnaby is tripped up and falls into Legace. Fischer believes it was done on purpose and goes after Barnaby. Fischer grabs ahold of him and starts throwing about 9-10 rights to the back of Barnaby's helmet while Barnaby is trying to duck away from the punches. They tie up and Fisher gets Barnaby's helmet off. Barnaby shakes off his elbow pad and throws a right. Fischer comes back with three to the side of Barnaby's head. The linesman start to come in and Barnaby shakes his head, letting them know that he isn't finished just yet. They each exchange rights. Both fighters struggle to get free and Barnaby lands a right to the side of Fischer's head. Fischer is obviously fatigued and trying to keep away from Barnaby's punches. Barnaby doesn't have the reach to get to Fischer's head so he throws some body shots as the linesmen come in.

During the play, Walker gives Parros a little shove near the Blues blue line and Parros takes offense. Walker looks to have dropped his mitts first, but Parros quickly follows suit. Mostly a tie-up for the first few seconds or so, but then Walker lands several punches to Parros' head, while Parros is still trying to land his first. Parros comes back a little towards the end of the fight, but never really got going.

McGrattan tries to hit Domi along the boards. Domi gives him the elbow and they decide to go. Good, fair square off. They come together and hold on. They exchange a few punches and Domi lands a couple of jersey shots. McGrattan then lands a bomb and Domi goes down. Domi was cut and had to leave.

After the whistle, these two push, then have a long square off. They start slow, Walker throws a few right uppercuts that come up short. They trade nice lefts, then a few short punches by Walker that connect. Fedoruk lands a few body shots, then Walker misses with a big right which allows Fedoruk to feed Walker with a few solid lefts. They grapple and then the linesmen come in.
