Dec 26, 2005 San Jose Sharks Joe Thornton
2pd 11:06 Los Angeles Kings Tim Gleason
Thornton throws an elbow to the head of Jeff Giuliano behind the net and Gleason comes over and gives Thornton a shove right away. Gleason waits for Thornton, who pauses and then drops the gloves. They each toss the rights, about five a piece. Thornton has the reach advantage and they may have each landed at first, but the last few go to Thornton. Thornton then wrestles Gleason to the ice and the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Thornton received an elbowing.

Thornton was better controlling this very short but decent bout.

Obviously Thornton was the bigger man. Props for Gleason getting into this fight. Gleason was overcome by Thornton's sheer size and power.
