LaCouture returns to his feet, only to fall down once again just as Simpson throws a right. The linesmen then intervene and end the fight. |

They drop the gloves and immediately tie up, each fighter struggling to get an arm free. Laperriere takes Doan's helmet off just before Doan gets an arm free and throws three rights and an uppercut while the two skate into the glass. Doan throws a right cross and Laperriere is able to pull his arm out of Doan's grasp, proceeding to connect with four rights to the back of Doan's head. Laperriere throws another right to the back of Doan's head with Laperriere's elbow pad hitting Doan. They grapple some more and Doan throws a short right, an uppercut, and a left before he throws Laperriere down to the ice. |

Off to the side, Veilleux drops his gloves and starts throwing rights at an unaware Vrbata. Veilleux tries to turn Vrbata around and get some more shots in but the linesmen are quick to get there and seperate the two. Other Penalties: Veilleux received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Vrbata, Michal Barinka and Alex Henry each received a roughing. Radim Vrbata did not receive a fighting major. |

After squaring off at the blueline, Brashear grabs ahold of Cairns and throws four lefts with two connecting before losing his balance and going down to a knee. Brashear returns to his feet and throws another left while Cairns returns fire with five straight rights, one of them knocking off Brashear's helmet. Brashear is able to get Cairns bent over and then gets his left arm free, firing off three lefts. Cairns responds with a right and the two go toe-to-toe with punches for a short moment: Brashear with lefts, Cairns with rights. Brashear then throws three more lefts while Cairns tries to get his right arm free from Brashear's grasp. Cairns does and throws two more rights while Brashear loses his balance and falls to the ice. |

Erskine falls on top of him and the linesmen are in there quickly. |

Henry's up fast and pulls Boughner up with him, but the linesmen break it up before they can continue. |

Parros misses with a wide right and grabs hold of the back of Fedoruk's jersey, allowing him to connect with a few short lefts. They grapple for a long while, each fighter trying to get an arm free. Parros lifts Fedoruk's jersey partially over his face and throws a left jab before losing his balance and almost falling to the ice. Fedoruk captializes on Parros' near-fall and connects with two right crosses. Parros fires back with two rights of his own and shakes his elbow pad off. Fedoruk throws two more rights before bending over, allowing Parros to switch hands and connect with three lefts to the back of Fedoruk's head. The two then lose their balance and fall to the ice. |

Strudwick then connects with seven unanswered lefts while LaCouture tries to duck away from the punches. The linesmen quickly intervene and the fight is over. |

They're in real close and Dingman throws a short shot with each hand before the two fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Garnet Exelby and Evgeny Artyukhin each received a roughing. |

Barnaby is holding Hordichuk off with his left arm and Hordichuk slides under it and then lands an over-the-top right, following it up with another that might have landed as well. They circle and Hordichuk mixes in an uppercut. Hordichuk has Barnaby awkwardly against the boards again and they slide over to the Preds' bench. They continue to wrestle around and Barnaby attempts a noogie on to the back of Hordichuk's head. Barnaby lands a couple of short rights and Hordichuk misses with a big right. Hordichuk then throws another big right that might have gotten the back of Barnaby's head. Barnaby, skating backwards, loses his balance and falls. |

They then throw two rights each, one of McGrattan's knocking Peters' helmet off. McGrattan throws another jersey-jab-right combination and the two go back and forth with a few long rights. They then tie each other up and stand there until the linesmen come in. |

Cowan then pushes Fedoruk and they grab ahold of each other, skating out into open ice. They grapple for a short while, each player trying to get loose. Cowan throws two lefts with one landing while Fedoruk continues to try and get an arm free. Fedoruk lands a short right and takes Cowan's helmet off while Cowan puts his head into Fedoruk's chest. Cowan throws an overhand left and Fedoruk responds with two rights just before Cowan goes down to his knees and Fedoruk holds up, allowing the linesmen to come in. Other Penalties: Fedoruk received a roughing. |
