| At the beginning of the 2nd the B's score 2 quick ones and Atlanta calls time. Odgers is sent out and he challenges Stock along the boards. Good spirited fight with some shots landed by both. Odgers throws a bomb which PJ ducks and Odgers connects with the glass. Ouch! |

Chris Simon |

Anaheim Ducks |
Kevin Sawyer |
| About 8 minutes into the first period these two come together with Simon being the aggressor - continually crosschecking Sawyer until Sawyer drops his gloves and they get into a clinch. Simon opens up and connects with at least 2 big lefts which appear to connect on Sawyer. Simon then misses with a left and has his hand on Sawyer's left shoulder as Sawyer throws one right, which didn't look to connect on the helmet, and then another left which misses as Simon loses his balance and the two tumble to the ice. |

Kip Brennan |
| Lined up off the facoff and they drop em. Vandenbussche starts throwing hard lefts, a couple landing and Brennan goes down, perhaps a slip or a combo slip/punch. He gets up and they continue with Vandy getting the better of the exchanges. Before they came together Vandenbussche was saying something to the ref, perhaps mentioning something about tape on Brennan's hand. |

| Grosek nails Kovalev from behind in the boards, Ference comes right over to stick up for the Pens' star and drops them with Grosek. Bad camera angle. Ference throws a few shots glove-on and then a few lefts that looked like they may have landed. Grosek throws a missing shot and then they went down. Other Penalties: Ference received an instigator and misconduct. |

| With the score 4-1 Langdon decides to go after Peter. Could be a result of Worrell running Bertuzzi and Jovanovski. A long tilt with the classic Langdon style. Landgon threw and landed the better punches. Other Penalties: Stephane Matteau received a tripping. |

| Both are fighting for the puck against the boards. Pushing and shoving leads to the gloves being dropped with both tied up close together. Clark throws a couple rights that hit the back of Salvador's head. They start a bit of wrestling, then Salvador starts throwing the right which results in Clark losing his helmet and then Clark throws Salvador to the ice. |

| Cairns comes out in the Isles zone, where Shelley is lined up and moves to Shelley's wing. You can see/sense this a mile away. They drop the gloves have a nice square-off, Jody Shelley moves in first, grabs Cairns with the left and then Cairns grabs on. They now have their right hands cocked back, but start off with the jersey-lefts. Cairns then starts to throw right hands and Shelley answers back, but Cairns lands a clean shot to Shelley's face. They offer 1-2 more rights, Shelley stops punching, is bent over, the refs move in and you can see that Jody Shelley is pissed off. He is bloodied and goes straight to the lockerroom for repairs. |
