Brian McGrattan vs Patrick Bordeleau, Nov 8, 2013
This is the player rivalry in the Western Conference you will want to keep an eye on. Brian McGrattan and Patrick Bordeleau, arguably the two heaviest punchers in the West, threw down early in Friday night's Flames–Avalanche game. Their first fight last year was a slugfest; the rematch did not disappoint. McGrattan and Bordeleau dropped the gloves off a faceoff, briefly squared off, and went toe to toe in true super heavyweight fashion. The exchange was very even until McGrattan landed two big rights that caused Bordeleau to duck away. The fight ended with McGrattan throwing rabbit punches over the top.
Both players went to the locker room for quick repairs: McGrattan was leaking from his nose, and Bordeleau was examining his hand. The Flames and Avalanche meet again on December 6.
