Starts out at center ice. Lappy starts landing a few on Smith. Then Smith answers back with about 10-12 lefts. They all landed, but many seemed to hit helmet. They get tied up and teh linesmen jump in.

Morris and Moreau go in the middle of a power play. Morris is clearly pissed and throws some very strong rights, all of which landed. Moreau gets in two very good punches to the face and Morris looks stunned, but comes back and throws a few more good ones before it is broken up.

Smith and Marshall grab each others jerseys, dance for one second, then Smith starts throwing lefts, landing all but one. Marshall did not land the first one and about the 5th left thrown by Smith took Marshall completely down.

De Vries hits Hulse hard into the boards right after Hulse comes out of the box. Hulse is pissed and they go. At first it looked like de Vries was going to slap him, yes slap, then Hulse throws a right and de Vries comes back with quite a few, one actually stunning Hulse a bit. Hulse gets some good ones in and it's broken up.

Great fight here, not sure who dropped them first, but Parker grabs Nazarov and throws four strong rights and Naz falls. Parker keeps throwing the rights as Nazarov struggles to get up. Parker throws about four more good rights, one to the nose, and Nazarov never gets the first punch in.

Long square off, then Parker dives in and grabs Vandy with the left. A wild swing makes Vandy off-balance and Parker feeds him four or five rights square on the left side of his face. They lock each other out and the refs come in and Vandy takes two shots at Parker over the refs. Parker throws another one over the refs as they get pulled apart. Vandy has a nasty cut over the left eye. Front of his shirt was looking pretty red. He headed for the locker room for repairs.

Morris starts off with three uppercuts that looked like they did some damage. He gets locked out, then Gelinas lets go and Morris starts firing rights and Gelinas bends over as Morris nails flush with three rights and the last one puts him down. Morris takes two more swings as he's going down.

Parker goes to hit Quintal and gets his hands a little high. They bump again, and the gloves come off. Quintal doesn't waste time getting his off a few seconds before Parker. Quintal had a very nice grip on Parker's right for most of the fight. He held him at bay, but Parker did as well. Quintal threw more to begin with, then Parker ripped his helmet off, hit him with a few weak ones in the gut area, then switched to the left for a few. Right after he switched back to the right, he nailed Quintal with a pair (not back to back) of flush haymakers to the face. The second one causes Quintal to duck into Parker, and the refs come in, because both men are tired and Parker has Quintal in a semi-vulnerable spot.

McKay was certainly the aggressor in this one. Typical Muir fight - he held his head as far away as possible, and looked like he didn't want to be there. The only punch that could be considered landed was one that glazed/bounced off McKay's shoulder and slowly, and I do mean slowly hit McKay in the face (it made his hair bounce, so the crowd cheered it). Bit of a snoozer. Other Penalties: McKay received an elbowing.

Hall throws a check on Morris behind the Colorado goal and he and Morris begin to talk. They both decide to drop the gloves by the faceoff dot. After a decent squareoff they come together. They holdn for about five seconds, then Hall gets in two pretty good rights to Morris' forehead. Morris comes back with a couple of rights to the top of Hall's head. They both trade a few more shots that miss and Hall falls on top. Other Penalties: Peter Forsberg received an interference.

Preds are down 6-2 and Hartrnell decides to try and spark the team. He and Hinote come together at center ice and talk and Hartnell skates away. They come together again a few seconds later and drop the gloves. Lots of grappling in this one. Both had their arms tied up in their jerseys. Hartnell gets his out first and lands a coule of rights to the top of Hinote's head. Hinote comes back with a noogie shot, then they wrestle for a few more seconds. Then they both fall to the ice.

Hartnell hits Muir and they talk all the way to the benches. Muir skates away and Hinote asks Hartnell if he wants to go again and Hartnell obliges. When they drop the gloves the linesman try to hold them apart. He forced them over to the Preds bench, finally the linesman got out of the way. Hartnell and Hinote both throw a couple of quick rights, then they tie each other up and lean over the benches. Then the linesmen come in.

DJ Smith found his way back into the Colorado line-up last night and took on Lance Ward. They come together at center ice and start firing. Ward lands a great haymaker that snaps Smith's head back, but Smitty stays on his skates and continues to throw em and Ward goes down.

Foote controlled the fight landing an uppercut and possibly landing a few more rights to Boucher's head. After about 5-6 total rights thrown in the fight all by Foote, they both go down to the ice.

Boulerice levels Aubin. Just then the Avs are changing the defensemen so Smith comes on and goes right for Boulerice. They drop em and tie up. Smith throws a right that hits shoulder, Boulerice throws a right cross that looked to land on the chin. Smith then lands a hard right. Boulerice throws a left that hits the back of the helmet, which he then rips off. Boulerice throws a wild right which throws both guys off balance, so Smith falls and gets up and pushes Boulerice down and throws one to the back of the helmet.

Hatcher takes a run at Forsberg and just barely misses crushing him, but still gets a good piece. Play continues for a few seconds more and when the whistle blows, Foote challenges and away we go. Unfortunately, Foote falls down quickly and takes four big rights to the back of the head. He gets back up and the two big D-men tie themselves up and the linesmen are in.

Starts with Wright giving Shantz a little crosscheck to the back as they are heading to the benches. After a couple of words, the gloves drop and they grab on and away we go! Shantz throws a couple of rights that seem to just barely connect lightly, then Wright returns the favor. Then they both grab on and from there nothing much.

Not a lot of punches and then Ling landed one right towards the eye. Morris turned away and it the linesmen came in knowing it was over. Blood coming down and Morris winds up with a broken orbital bone.

Marshall finishes a weak check and the jawing begins. After a couple "wanna go's" D.J. drops and tries to attack with a quick right, however, Marshall pops him a good right instead. Smith then catches Marshall with a couple of good quick rights, then Marshall pops Smith with another right. Next thing ya know, Marshall throws an unsuspecting left and down goes Smith.

Mac and Stevenson go at it behind the net. The camera was a little late getting there, but when it does they're both swinging wildly. Each guy seems to get in a couple decent punches, then Mac muscles Stevenson down and it's over.

Colorado goes up 3-0 and Brad Brown looks to get his team going by locking up with Scott Parker. It almost looked like they wouldn't get going, both tucked in tight, but then they opened up. Brad was looking for an open punch while Parker went to work on the body alternating between rights, lefts and body blows. Brad tried switching up late, but didn't do much there either.

Radio descrip: There was some shoving in the Bolts zone after a whistle, and then the fight started. The announcers said that Clymer got a few uppercuts in and then managed to rip Aubin's helmet (with visor) off. Aubin got some punches in, but it sounded like Clymer threw more, and was more aggressive.

Parker and Shelley drop'em near the boards at center ice. A nice long spirited fight, lasted roughly 45 seconds to a minute. They go toe to toe and each land solid rights. Shelley lands the first couple bricks to the face, Parker counters with a bomb of his own. A handful, maybe 4 or 5 per man, of soft rights are exchanged. Parker's helmet starts getting in his eyes, so he switches hands and rips it off, while Shelley's falls off in the havoc. They tie one another up and Parker gets the takedown.

A scrum gathers by the boards once again. Ling darts straight for Marchment, the two unleash some fiesty, wild rights. Both land decently on one another. The linesmen step in and break it up.

Klesla shows a pulse and takes a run at Willsie. The refs gave both FMs, but it certainly was not an actual fight. Klesla was just frustrated and took out his anger on the nearest guy, or tried anyhow. Neither actually land punches. Other Penalties: Each player received a high sticking.

Foote landed two or three good rights at first and Sutherby answered with two rights of his own. Sutherby then gets Foote's helmet off and they get tangled up. Finally Sutherby gets free and lands three more good rights.

Chicago just scored a goal and these two guys squareoff at center ice right off the faceoff. They skate down into the Chicago zone and come together after about 20 seconds of circling. They grab on and start swinging. Parker lands a left and then hit Simon's helmet. Simon then rips Parker's helmet off and gets his left hand free and hit Parker with a pretty good punch. They then spin and swing, a few punches landed by each, but mostly they hit air. Simon has some trouble getting a hold of Parker, because of this he opens up. Parker takes advantage of this and start unleashing his left, landing a few nice shots to Simon's face, one punch that hits Simon's helmet and seems to break a piece of plastic on it that flies away. Simon then loses his balance and they go down, Simon seemed to have a red mark on the side of his eye. Pretty exciting scrap.

Camera got there late, as they were bent over the boards, hugging. They came off and Fisher throws a left that seemed to land and so did Foote. Foote through another left which seemed to land and then pinned Fisher up against the bench. A lot of swaying and trying to get position, not many fists thrown. They hug some more and the linesmen come in.

Good toe to toe fight, both with the lefts at first and then both switching. Marchment seemed to land some nice shots early. Replays show him with his elbow pad over his left hand hitting the side of Laperriere's helmet with some very weak blows due to his arm tangled up in his jersey. Laperriere then lands a few straight rights that rocked Marchment including the best shot of the fight. Marchment then lands a few to end the fight as they go down to the ice. Marchment in the box with a cut on the bridge of the nose.

These two come together after a play stoppage and drop them. They immediately grab a hold of each other's sweater. Flinn throws two rights, missing both. Then he throws two left jabs while holding Parker's collar. Parker then unleashes a right bomb which connects, and Flinn pulls Parker down on top of him.

Buchy was giving Forsberg a hard time. Parker was lined up across from him and after the puck is dropped Buchy dropped the gloves first, but fell right away. Parker threw 3-4 mild punches that all hit Buchy in the arm or shoulder before the linesmen stepped in.

Good squareoff and a good fight. Naz is getting in some decent shots and has control. Marchment goes down, but quickly pops up and regains his balance before it can be broken up. Marchment runs Lappy, and everbody pairs off as the game wind's down. Avery grabs Aubin, throws a right to Aubin's temple up against the boards. Aubin's got the sheild on and doesn't look interested. They jockey along the boards and Avery gets his right cocked. Some twirling and Avery throws two rights to Aubin's helmet. Aubin looks to throw a right that has nothing on it as Avery is trying to get Aubin's helmet/sheild off. Avery throws an uppercut to Aubin's ribs, then a right to the back of Aubin's neck. Two nothing rights from Avery and Aubin's trying to get him down. Avery is pinned on the boards now and still trying to get Aubin's lid off. Aubin's got his left pushed into Avery's face. Avery tries an uppercut to the body, then looks to land a decent uppercut to Aubin's cheek. Avery misses a right, a jerseyed left, then another right. Other Penalties: Bryan Marchment and Aaron Miller each received a roughing.
